Goran has had a monster impact so far and the Heat are winning despite starting two D-leaguers currently.

:oldlol: so is this the new excuse? With bosh they weren't even in the playoffs.

I am a Miami fan and I want them to do good more than anybody here, but they were not going to come out of East with or without Bosh. Cleveland and Atlanta have better teams.

Just stop. The Heat were 13-15 in the 28 games Wade and Bosh played together this season. Bosh has proven he can't put up decent stats and win at the same time.

Yes but Bosh+Wade+Goran would/will be a monster lineup.

Who have they beaten?
They had a nice win over Brooklyn two days ago. Toronto next...

Lets see...
They currently have Tyler Johnson and Henry Walker playing major minutes, two D-Leaguers, and Tyler is developing
They found Whiteside out of nowhere and are developing him as well ( still a long way to go )
They play Udonis Haslem minutes whose a major liability whenever he's on the court
They now give major minutes to Michael Beasley who played in China prior.
Yet they can still make the playoffs

Making the playoffs in the east is no major accomplishment.

Dragic
Wade
Deng
Bosh
Whiteside
if all healthy that'd be a serious contender in the east. Elite offense in Dragic, Wade and Bosh, elite defense in Wade, Deng and Whiteside.

Dragic is averaging the same numbers but with one more assist for a whopping 16 and 5 in Miami. Monster for sure.
Even with their starting lineup what's their bench even if they had Bosh? They're no better than a four see in the east. This team is a joke. Wade and Bosh a year older next year. Maybe Dragic leaves, then what do you have? An eight seed in the east?

The fact that they've been the most injured team in the NBA says otherwise
Your best player Wade missed around 15 games hamstring injuries
Bosh a 21/8 allstar out for the year
McRoberts played like 5 games
Dragic missing games with a knee injury
Whiteside has had ankle problems missed games all year
Deng has missed time with minor injuries
Granger was injured when with Miami barely played
Haslem has had ankle and the knee issues all year
Birdman injuries all year wasn't even supposed to play last game and still had a 18/14 game
Yet theyre still battling. No this season isn't going according to plan, but the fact that with the roster constantly changing D-Leaguers keep being brought up and a horrible coach, making the playoffs and staying competetive is a success. Can't ask the players for much more.

People don't seem to realize that the Heat's point guard situation was really bad. Literally their PG rotation was the worst position skill gap vs. their opponents for any position for any team in the league. They upgraded so massively that they would have been a force if Bosh didn't go down.
Sad really.

Wade's a shell of himself, he's never been that great a leader either

No continuity, constant injuries, no rim-protector (look how ass the Cavs were without one of those), etc.
In the 80 mins Wade, Bosh and Whiteside got to play together this season Miami were outplaying their opponents by 21 points per 100 possessions, with the majority of those minutes coming in away games against the Clippers and Bulls (so not weak competition). That was before acquiring Dragic.
They haven't been given a chance this season :confusedshrug:.

Whatever record they have with Wade and Bosh together means nothing. Most of those games were Wade coming back or bosh coming back from injury and add on to that they didn't have whiteside playing or dragic , no mcbob and deng/birdman hurt alot of those games..
Wade and bosh barely played healthy together ..nevermind dragic, wade, deng, bosh, whiteside playing at all together..that starting 5 is no less than a 4 seed in the east and they could compete with anyone out there as well healthy.

Despite the title, I knew this was going to be a topic about Dragic.

If the heat team at the beginning of the year without whiteside and dragic stay healthy, they have about the same record they have right now.

Hornets and indiana have been through worse. Getting whiteside makes up for all those injuries. They were giving up so many easy second chance points and not getting any themselves, and he also helped them a lot defensively and offensively.

miami sucks. bulls would have killed them, cavs and hawks easily beat them too. heck even raptors and wiz would beat miami.
