View Full Version : Is Milwaukee falling out of the playoffs?

They have been free falling as of late, playing with no heart out there, and have dealt with injuries. Guess it was a nice cinderella story while it lasted, but with the red hot Pacers, the Heat and Hornets climbing up the playoff ladder, it seems inevitable that the Bucks would fall out. Looking at them on paper clearly they don't have enough talent, plain in simple.

Things would've been different if not for the Parker injury or if they didn't trade Knight, but shit happens.

No we're not. And you need to stop bringing up Knight because it has nothing to do with anything. Mayo is out, Bayless is out, Dudley is hurt, Zaza is done, Ersan is inconsistent as hell, Giannis is burned out, most of the team is breaking down.

That's what I am talking about with the injuries.

Possibly they peaked too early and now they settled in their mean, I see an 8th seed as the best case scenario, and even that would be a stretch.

8th seed as a best case scenario? :oldlol: 5th seed is the best case scenario considering how Washington is playing. This is a major knee jerk reaction, we are not missing the playoffs.

You're just looking at the box scores, seeing the results. You gotta watch the games to know that we're playing solid basketball in recent games, we're just catching teams at the wrong time. We played well against Atlanta and GS, we just lost because they were Atlanta and GS.. It took Anthony Davis playing out of his mind and going for 43/10/6 to barely lose to NOLA. And we caught a red hot Indiana team on the 2nd night of a back to back, on the road. The only losses that truly sucked were the Lakers and Nuggets games.

We're going to be fine.

If I'm Milwaukee, I'm hoping to face the overrated ass Bulls.

They would wreck 'em similarly to how the Wizards did last postseason.

Just gotta make sure to hold off those damn red hot Pacers, who beat them without all stars Hibbert and George.

How great are the Pacers gonna be when they come back? Or will Paul George offset the amazing chemistry they have atm?

Getting out of the 7th seed would be ideal for all the teams, definitely don't want to face Kyrie and Lebron in the first round, for sure Pacers would like their chops if they face Atlanta or the Bulls, frankly they'd destroy either of them. Talk about the difference a year can make, last year, alot of talent, 0 chemistry, mayor struggles, this year the opposite, yet with they are clicking on all levels.

I'm surprised they are in the playoffs at all. Damn, the East is terrible.

For the Bucks to fall out of the playoffs, Charlotte would have to make up 5-5.5 games (idk what the tie-breaker situation is between those 2 teams) in the next like 17 games. Certainly possible, but I wouldn't bet on that happening.

If anything, the Bucks get caught by Pacers, with PG playing. But it's not certain that Indy keeps rolling and PG easily acclimates (when he gets back). MIL's just going through a rough patch with their exhausted team, as Milbuck said. They'd be a lot better off if Jabari didn't get injured and if Sanders was in a position to contribute this season. They'll be ok. MIA is in more danger of missing playoffs to me anyways...

They're also clueless. MCW has been solid. 15/4/6/2 on 44% FG with good defense...18/5/7/3 per 36. Season high 28/8/4/4 last night. Meanwhile Knight is tearing it up in Phoenix with 14/4 on 38% FG, with shit defense.

To be fair, MCW haters dont care much about Brandon Knight.

Ok, well take away Knight's garbage play and you're still left with MCW playing solid basketball for us. Dude is putting up 17/5/6 with good defense his last 7 games, since getting off his minutes restriction. In that stretch the teams we've lost to have gone a combined 37-13 in their last 10 games. Anyone who links our play post-AS break and post-trade to MCW doesn't have a clue, period.

Almost as trash as James Harden in the playoffs

The Bucks are farther from missing the playoffs than the Grizzlies are to the 7 seed.

5.5 games over 17 games is a ton to make up for a team playing .444 ball on the season.

The Bucks A) aren't playing for this season and B) are going to make the playoffs.

As trash as 7/15 teams I guess..

No, they are not. Worst case scenario for the Bucks is 7th place, which could happen given the way the Pacers have played lately, but there is no chance they fall further than that.

6th place is still the most likely finish for the Bucks.

The bench averaged about 38 points a game before the Knight trade.
This eaqualed cohesiviness (spl.)

Since the trade - perfect example last night they scored 10 points.

This teamed played on the bases of depth.

Knight solidified a weak starting five , and he bench brought the energy.

right now its a dud.

I could see them fall to 8 seed , maybe even out all the way.

Kidd has his work cut out for him.

Dude Knight has nothing to do with the bench sucking now. Knight wasn't responsible for Dudley, Mayo, Bayless, Zaza, Marshall, etc all being healthy..and he's not responsible for them being hurt or exhausted now. Our bench is weak now because most of the guys are broken down.

Knight was an isolation scorer who played poor defense, didn't make others around him better.. we're losing now because our team is built on high energy, intense defense, and effort..and injuries and fatigue have made that nearly impossible to sustain. The problem is health.
Might be thinking of someone else, but weren't you constantly shitting on WCW before?
Yes I was..but much like I've explicitly stated about my Harden hate..it was wild exaggerations to piss off the Sixer fans like GOBB and Im so nba'd out who talked shit about the Bucks. I was skeptical about MCW but I didn't actually think he was the "worst player of all time" like I said :oldlol:

MCW has been rock solid so far with us. Our losses are not because of him, or the absence of Knight. Explained it further earlier in this post and thread, and in other similar threads.

It's probably because they have to play so hard every night in order to make up for just having ok talent. Sort of like how the Bulls teams of the last few years.
