Drive to school

This is the only one I dont agree with but I'm from NY. So many cute bitches take the bus or train why would you want to limit yourself to 3-4 cute bitches and friends in a car when you could mob out the whole train or bus with your squad and other squads

Also gives you chances to meet people from the school you don't know. I would say I would have had 75% less friends and 25% less popularity if I had the whip in HS

They are alt-repping themselves so it'll never happen.

Staying on topic.... 10th and 11th grade "grades" matter. 9th and 12th grade "grades" don't. Study and read and do your best in the years that matter. Write a good application essay. Don't be stupid.

The end.

Do the minimum amount of work it takes to get at least a 3.0.
Take P.E every year.
Plan to go to community college and save a ton of money.

When I was in school I got PE credits for doing after school sports. But I also took 4 years of PE and used those as elective credits. So my JR and SR years I got to go home at lunch.
It might not work for all schools but I loved it at mine

Be your own person and don't worry about what others think of you. Much easier said than done, though.

Don't slack off in your junior year, cost me a chance at 3-4 schools I really wanted to go to.

Do as many sports as you can srs. Even if your school isn't sports heavy,. just join as many as you can. To me it was far funner than boring clubs that most colleges want you to join. I didn't do this but tutoring and working on weekends as like a golf caddy is pretty awesome. My friends who did golf caddying had a lot of money when it came down to chilling in the summer.

Another thing, during the summers, don't just hang out all day. Find something productive. Like a fun job, being a camp counselor during the day and of course enjoy your weekends and nights with friends.

Don't be nervous of making a fool out of yourself. You won't see 99% of your graduating class after a year of high school.

I personally wish I did more college research when I was applying. Find what you really want. A big, party school? A big school with great sports/academics?

Also don't be judgmental. I made the assumption some of my classmates wouldn't be successful because of their high school GPA. Some of them are highly successful already 5 years after graduating.

I personally would have done high school differently but I don't have many regrets.

Also enjoy your homecoming weekends and all the perks of everyone celebrating that weekend at the parade, the football game, festivities at night. I didn't do any of that and I remember I felt like I missed out on a lot.

Don't get hung up if you can't like join a popular "group" of people. In college, I feel everyone has friends to hang out with consistently. I thought this was very hard to do personally in high school.

Some of the high school chicks I've seen in Brooklyn/Queens when I was in high school looked really good but I don't know why but most girls from Queens/Brooklyn despite being very multiethnic always come off as trashy . I remember a certain neighborhood (forgot the name of it) where on the main avenue in the neighborhood during the summertime, it was awesome. So many gorgeous honeys walking around.
