Too often people make it about the race

Its about individuals

How do you know that? Can you read their minds?

What a load of drivel. Racism can be explained by the simple fact that we are tribal animals, and hatred of whatever is other is natural. As soon as neuroscience began to step into this area, all funding was cut to it, as it was believed to be to 'politically inflammatory' (there goes the so-called 'objectivity' of scientific research, too). But what early testing had shown, is that human empathy is stronger when witnessing the suffering of someone similar to you in appearance. Thus, if a human being is suffering, your emotional response (which you do not control), is sympathetic to the degree that the victim bares similarities to you.

Thus even dark-skinned black people are likely to feel far more sympathetic towards those like them, then to those who are mixed-race.

Question: If Trayvon Martin were, say, of the Jason Kidd type of 'black' would Zimmerman have been freed, would he even have followed him?

If no, i think we need a redefinition of the catch-all term 'black' - because there's a lot of white-lookin mother****ers out there jumping on the black oppression bandwagon, stealing the shine of their darker brethren. Because let's be honest, it's far easier to break into the job-market looking like Blake Griffin, than like KG.
