So he already had a knee procedure and is also flying to New York for further evaluation?

Eh, cleaning it out. Not that worried. He'll be out for about a month (at most) if he gets this done, just in time for the postseason.

Amirite dude's been beasting since the All-Star break?

Since when would you consider his impact all-star worthy?

Statistically I would say 2013, but in 2012 he blocked 4 shots a game :biggums:

2011-12 BPG per36 was 4.8 :biggums: :biggums:

for comparison, 93-94 Hakeem blocked 3.3 per36 and 08-09 Dwight had 2.9

I'll still never figure out how Lebron was able to dismantle OKC's interior in the 2012 Finals with Ibaka manning the paint :biggums:

If the Thunder make the playoffs, Westbrook is the MVP. It's not even close.

Battier pulled him out of the paint. Did exactly what a stretch 4 is supposed to do. Plus there was no stopping LeBron in 2012.

Don't know why Brooks insisted on playing Perkins so much.

Westbrook
Harden
Thabo
Durant
Ibaka

maybe could've run that series to 6 or 7. Still would've lost though

Porkins. It's not that hard. You give 2012 OKC Kanter and Adams while taking away Porkins and OKC wins in 4.

As for this "surgery", you guys are so ridiculous. You assume any surgery means you're out for a long period of time. OKC is going to make the playoffs and could care less who they play as long as they're healthy. They're the best team in the league if healthy, which is what they're trying to achieve.

He is an idiot. lebron regularly drives to the basket with ibaka on him. lebron has abused OKC for past several years. ibaka is not doing shit to stop lebron. just because he blocked 1 lebron dunk doesn't mean he does much to stop lebron overall.

So that Ibaka can get his knee scoped and be out for like two or three weeks? :biggums:

I got it bad, alright.

It's not always about 1 side of the court. If no Perkins, who do the Heat hide Lebron on? Lebron was covering Perkins for large parts of the NBA Finals  It allowed him to have enough energy to hack Durant at the end of games and wear him out.

Imagine if Lebron had to cover someone all game. I'm sure they would find ways of having Lebron cover Sefolosha, so I take it back. To be fair, I thought Lebron did a good job covering Kendrick Perkins :applause:

They're the best team in the league if healthy, which is what they're trying to achieve.Regarding Kanter, he'd score on the block, but you're forgetting about his defense. Only 2 guys were worse in DPM last season, amongst Cs, and he is the worst this year. His RPM is also pretty bad- he's #64 out of 73, so his offense doesn't compensate for his defense. Even with Ibaka/Kanter together, Heat would spread them out on offense.

This year's version of a (healthy) Adams maybe gets the Thunder another game. Heat would still spread the floor and idk if Adams can slow down arguably peak LBJ driving in the paint. Not to mention Heat's defense was still chaotic back then.

Also, if we're upgrading OKC hypothetically, we could just give Miami Ray Allen in 2012...

Edit:
Just looked it up: in 9 games, OKC has -0.9 net rating/100 possessions playing Ibaka/Kanter fwiw...

Ibaka will be fine. Scott Brooks is letting him focus on his theater career as he markets his Son of Congo feature.

Because Ibaka's defense is overrated? It's not that hard.

Having lots of blocks doesn't always mean good defending, his paint presence and man defense aren't that great.
