A BOSS. CPretty wrecked them boys tonight and has been on a tear. He is the X factor for Dallas and when he doesn't play, they suffer tremendously.
Earning all that money.
Dallas isn't going down easy.

Who is Dubeta?
He's exactly what Rockets fans told you he'd be.
Since the new year.....
14.8ppg
4.6rpg
2.5apg
45/40/74
He also missed 9 games.
Certainly worth $15m per year I'd say.

CPretty missed 7 games and they went 3-4 and averaged only 91 point a game. Only 7 players in the NBA average at least 15, 4, and 2 on 45%+ and 38%+ from 3...Curry, Cousins, Durant, Gasol, Griffin, Paul and...Parsons.
CPretty is the X factor for the Mavs. Without him, they stand zero chance.

He's the highest paid player on the team... so yeah, that would make sense. Not sure the highest paid player on your team can be an 'X Factor'.
You can cut the number of players in any category if you throw enough criteria in there. You used 5.
Now if you were to say, gauge how many players in the NBA average below 16ppg who make +$15m, you would probably get an awfully small list too.

They were funny and possibly original at one point, but they've become so pervasive and overused that seeing one of these evokes extreme fatigue and disgust.

1. Parsons isn't making 15+ million this year.
2. David Lee, Deron Williams, Paul George, Brook Lopez, Joe Johnson, etc. Off the top of my head, they make 15+ million a year and are under 16 ppg.
3. How about all the players that make more than Parsons and are under 16 ppg? Hmm...Gordon, Chandler, Hibbert...list keeps growing...
Parsons is an all around talent and scoring is certainly not his only skill, anyway.

1) Parsons makes $14,700,000 this year, $15,361,000 next year. If you're going to argue the $300,000 this year, then you've already lost.
2) All those guys you mentioned are overrated, and old. Parsons is overrated, and not old. I also think its safe to say if PG were playing, he'd average 16 ppg.
3) Gordon, Chandler, and Hibbert are crap. So, if you want to compare Parsons with that group, then by my guest.
He's the 30th highest paid guy in the league, and 26 above him are stars, or were stars and are now riding out the last year or two of their contract. Parsons just signed his. Lin and Asik are crap and Morey got rid of their contracts, and Hayward still may be an all-star at some point.

Wrong.
Noone deserves to be exposed to your incessant redundant played out drivel. Hence why bans should remain in tact.

31 points on 10 three's is pretty crazy. Usually you need to see the ball go in the hole before you hit 10 three's.
Parsons has one of the flattest jumpers I've seen in the NBA... surprising how accurate he is with it.

He really does.
He has the mechanics of a nice shot, its just so flat. With a little off season work, he could shoot 40% easily. Just needs a bit more loft to minimize the errors when he shoots.

If he put some arc on it he'd be a better shooter. Last night we used him like Houston did last year...let him facilitate off the pick and roll or get to the paint
He had a hell of a game. Consistency is the problem so far

The Mavs are averaging 106.7 ppg in games Parsons plays. That would be the 2nd highest output of any team in the league, behind only the Warriors. The Mavs are 38-20 in these games.
The Mavs are averaging 93.7 ppg in games Parsons misses. That would be the 3rd worst output of any team in the league, ahead of only the Knicks and 76ers. The Mavs are 5-5 in these games.

You're paying a mid level guy all star money. Congrats.I think he's above a MLE guy (if you meant salary), but certainly not worth his max money. I thought he'd get a Batum-type contract, but he'd be a big steal on a IT-type deal imo. Always felt he should be one of those "overqualified" bench guys that play very well surrounded by great defenders. For example, take the Pacers. If Parsons was their 6th man and they slid (fully healthy) PG to SG when Parsons would come in, I think he'd really thrive. He has to have somebody cover his defensive mistakes though, so not like you can plop him into any roster.
David Lee, Deron Williams, Paul George, Brook Lopez, Joe Johnson, etc. Off the top of my head, they make 15+ million a year and are under 16 ppg.Not sure why you even brought those guys up. That just tanked your own argument lol. Aside from PG-13 (gruesome injury), all of those guys are overpaid this season. Just like Parsons.
Not sure the highest paid player on your team can be an 'X Factor'.+1. I think that's a recipe for disaster, too. Plus, he can be a FA next summer if he wants and the Mavs wouldn't have the benefit of a "cheaper" max contract with the rising cap. Mavs should have tried to sign Ariza and trade for George Hill (or sign Bradley- S&T worse case scenario). Fully healthy, that's a better 2-way team, lack of big offensive reputations be darned.

PARSONS IS A BOSS.
Dallas is going to be tough in the postseason.

He is the same guy he was in Houston, just getting paid waaaayyyyy more.
Among 3s he ranks 13th in RPM behind such notables as MKG, Jared Dudley and Matt Barnes.
His PER of 16.66 puts him just barely ahead of 37 yr old Pierce but behind Tobias Harris and Shabazz Muhammad.

yes, no shit parsons is overpaid. the Mavs had NO chance of signing him unless they wanted to give him more than he deserved. Dirk took a paycut, so whatever amount you think he is overpaid by take it away and pretend its added onto Dirk salary. Hes only making 8 mil this season, he should be around 12-13 mil putting Parsons around 10-11 mil. But Houston would have matched at that price. :confusedshrug:
