Who will win?

I think this is the most anticipated 1st round matchup. GSW wins by a margin due to superior offense and defensive efficiency. Splash bros will light it up from 3, Bogut would be anchor in the paint. Durant and Westbrook would have to turn up their game, don't expect much contribution from the role players. Ultimately the game is won by spacing & shooting...Durant and Westbrook iso is unstoppable but ultimately falls short like against the Spurs last year.

Warriors in 6.

Hmm really? I think Warriors are similar to last year's Spurs. Look what the Spurs did to OKC.

I think the Warriors win, Brooks will **** up too much over the course of the series.

Honestly, people need to get real over this.

Everyone talks about OKC getting the 8th seed and being a "nightmare" for the Warriors. I even saw some scrubs on ESPN saying they give OKC a 70% chance to beat the Warriors in the first round.

Yeah ****ing right. The Thunder are not going to beat the Warriors. It won't even really be close. 5-6 games max. KD and Westbrook don't play their best ball on the floor together, Ibaka/KD will be coming off injury, and Oracle is the last place any road team wants to play.

The Warriors are a beautiful brand of basketball. Kerr has done a legit job. They have great ball movement, offensive weapons all the way to their bench, and elite defense all around. Westbrook isn't just going to penetrate through their defense. There's a reason he's shooting 23/70 against them on the season. The one game the Thunder won was when Bogut was out.

Kerr with his stacked team will not get beat by Scottie Brooks unless Bogut gets injured.

2 major disadvantages for OKC:

1: GS has home court (30-2 this season)
2: Steve Kerr vs Scott Brooks

I could see Kerr finding one money lineup that just destroys OKC and Brooks won't be smart enough to adjust.

Durant + Westbrook will outlast the Warriors over a 7 game series.

Will the Warriors have amazing games where no one misses? Yes, likely 1-2 or games but OKC will win the rest because they have the 2 best players in the series. Would be superfun to watch though.

OKC in 6. Not sure what type of defense they're gonna have when Westbrook has Curry in the post about 15 possessions per game. There is literally no adjustment for Westbrook that GS can utilize.

Don't forget that the Thunder will have no cohesion considering it's possible their starting line up will not have played a game of the regular season together. Kanter/Singler haven't played with Durant yet, and when Durant returns, they won't have Ibaka. The chemistry just won't be developed to beat a team as good as the Warriors.

If everyone is expecting OKC to win and if they do, is it still considered an upset?

Kerr is a rookie. Too soon to say what he does in the playoffs.

He knows what he's doing. Besides, he has Alvin Gentry and Ron Adams sitting next to him. Those 3 will set up optimal game plans for each game.

You obvioulsy know nothing about basketball if you believe Kerr will allow Steph to guard RW. Klay will take care of him. D.Green , Iggy and Barnes will take care of Durant.

Well that's not true, OKC has a mountain to climb, it's just that they have KD which gives them potential to pull off an upset.

No they don't

RW is a midget vs great defensive teams. He will shoot his team out of games. (Hero Ball).

Thunder for sure. Deep playoff experience counts more than some folks will admit.

For the record, I'm answering this under the assumption that both teams are fully healthy and gone through an entire season with no drastic roster moves to shake things up. Reality as of March 2015? OKC loses this series.

Westbrook has taken over games in the playoffs. And I'm not talking about just the 1st rounds like Steph Curry may have against the Nuggets. RW is a giant in the biggest games. This season proves he can lead his own team, it does not prove he makes him + bunch of role players into title contenders but him + Durant are always title contenders. Westbrook is twice the player Steph Curry is in the playoffs. Can't wait till Steph Curry tries to cover him and gets into foul trouble 2 mins into the game and they hide him on Roberson  True MVP right there :lol
