:facepalm First Riley and now this guy. Never seen an organization as sensitive and beta as the Heat are. Zoe wants to say Lebron left a dynasty? Has this fool looked at his team's record recently? :oldlol: They are barely holding onto a playoff spot in an All time weak conference. Lebron left because he was tired of being a one man wrecking crew. Lebron moved on months ago, yet these fools STILL can't get over being dumped.

i remember Chicago fans reacting with this remark in the RS over the past few years too...means nothing come playoff time

Miami had an edge to the Cavs last night, and the Cavs played completely flat. Lebron scored garbage points in trying to get a late rally, but really made little to no difference as Miami was just on fire from beginning to end.

those same scenarios for each team will be hard to replicate over a few games...i doubt Miami can maintain this fire within, though it would be amazing for the end of the season run into the playoffs. also, to think the Cavs will replicate their performance last night is another wayward thought

congrats to Miami last night...can it carry over to May, hoping it does! rather see Wade battle Lebron in the ECF than the Hawks tbh. not to take away anything from the Hawks, well maybe, the rivalry between the Heat and Cavs are just worth watching on the ECF stage.

a one man wrecking crew.

A wrecking crew that isn't capable of putting up good enough stats to go 5/5 instead of 2/5.

Lebron would be 5/5 if he'd averaged 35 PPG & 7 APG in the playoffs like MJ did thru age 29, and 36 PPG & 8 APG in the Finals.

But instead, Lebron only put up 28 PPG & 6 APG in the playoffs thru age 29, and 24 PPG & 6 APG in the Finals.. Hence, he's only 2/5.

but maybe you enjoy fuming over my posts - in which case, i recommend this thread:

http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=370937

it discusses the NBA's new player-tracking technology, which shows that teams use dribble penetration to score more than anything else - stats now prove that today's game is based on dribble-penetration.

The organization has taken care of Mourning through years of health problems, and now they’re doing the same with Chris Bosh, who chose to return rather than take a better chance at a title with the Rockets.

:wtf:

Wait, correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Miami able to pay Bosh more than Houston? Seems pretty clear why he returned...

Seems like the author might be a tad bit biased against the King.

:oldlol: Exactly. Bosh flat out admitted that one of the reasons he didn't go to Houston is because he didn't want the pressure of winning a title. His current situation is perfect for him. He can spend the entire season stat padding on a losing team, and get praised for "rediscovering his game." Beta gonna beta.

:biggums:

Jordan would reverse the outcome of only the 11' Finals. He would lose in 07' and 14'. Hell, MJ may have gotten to the Finals in 10', only to lose in the Finals to the loaded Lakers. Put MJ on LeBron's teams and he likely would be 3/6.

Honestly, I don't see MJ making the Finals with those Heat teams with no interior defense and rebounding. Would probably just make the finals with Cleveland in 2010 and lose, hence ending up 0/1

MJ would lose in 14' Finals.

What makes you so certain Jordan couldn't have averaged 38-42 PPG and given Heat a chance in 2014?

That's EXACTLY what he did against Phoenix in 1993 - both teams averaged exactly 106.7 PPG and 113 ORtg for the series.. The Bulls needed every ounce of Jordan's 41 PPG.

Of course, he also averaged 36 PPG on 54% FG against Clyde and the loaded Blazers.. So MJ's always done it before - for anyone to assume he couldn't this time is irrational.

MJ would lose in 2007 Finals

Lebron was 22 years old in 2007 when he played those Spurs - this is the same age as Jordan when he averaged 44 PPG on 50% shooting against the 1986 Celtics and their #1-ranked defense.

So once again - bad assumption - Lebron's performance at 22 years old against championship-caliber competition was flat-out embarassing (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=370800), and not in the same universe as Jordan's.

Hell, MJ may have gotten to the Finals in 10'

Good.. I'm glad you concede that Jordan would have made the Finals in 2009 and 2010.. Jordan's teams never underachieved, and Lebron's Cavs were the #1 seed and favored to make the Finals each year - of course, Lebron happened to choke and underachieve each year, but that's no reason to assume MJ would as well, especially given his track record.

Then, once in the Finals, it would have been master versus student.. I expect something akin to the 1998 All-Star Game (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvquD3ktNbQ).

1) He would have to go to 41 ppg to erase the MOV over LeBron's scoring.

2) If MJ scored 41 versus LeBron's 28 ppg that does not=+13 for the Heat. It would mean an increase but some of MJ's extra 13 would come at the expense of other Heat players.

3) Even IF MJ scored 41 ppg and somehow it did not affect any other player an iota the Heat could still have lost. In other words, if even the stars aligned the Spurs would still possibly win--and the stars were unlikely to align. The gap was too large even for a peak MJ to realistically overcome.

Lebron was 22 years old in 2007 when he played those Spurs - this is the same age as Jordan when he averaged 44 PPG on 53% shooting against the 1986 Celtics and their #1-ranked defense.

MJ was not winning anything with Big Z and Larry Hughes as his next best players. :lol

Good.. I'm glad you concede that Jordan would have made the Finals in 2009 and 2010..

Probably 2010, assuming we are talking about prime MJ. 2009? No way. LeBron put up 39/8/8 and they still lost in 6 games. What would MJ have done? Put up 46/11/10?

It's simple why he left. None of this alpha beta mentality bull shit, he just wants to be liked, he doesn't want to be the villain. Now that he won Miami two rings, Miami fans are more than content with the two rings and will recover faster from Lebron's departure than Cavs fans. He saw an opportunity to have a good team in Cleveland, and went for it to fix any bridges he burned when he left while having a (better) chance to compete for a championship. Win win for LeBron.

Truth is, Lebron will end up and remembered as the greatest Cavalier ever by Cavs fans, and a top 2/3 Heat player to ever play in a Heat jersey and bought them two rings. He will have his jersey retired to both of these teams and he single handily crafted his own legacy. Call him beta, call him alpha, idgaf but respect for Lebron for doing something extraordinary with his career compared to us betas behind our computer screens stanning/hating on the man.
