Celtics, Lakers or Knicks?

I really think with Thomas we have a nice core to move forward with, I'm liking our chances to be back there next year, if you had to choose one, who would it be?

naaa, you are going to wait another 20 or so years to watch your team playing in the finals. id say lakers. first season after kobe retires.

1a. Celtics
1b. Knicks
3. Lakers

If the Knicks make any decent moves at all this off-season I'd put them ahead of Boston. Lakers have no shot next year out west.

Celtics. Brad Stevens is one of the coaches in the league.

They could still make it this year.

The Celtics have been legit lately.

Brad Stevens should win coach of the year. He has been impressisive with all he has done with his roster\rotation in constant flux. Iirc the Celtics have fielded the most players in NBA history this season.

What is going unnoticed is the level of defense the Celtics are playing. They are actually among the best defenses of late and if that continues than they have a shot at making the playoffs and doing a bit more.

Truth is - when there's little expectation it's easy to over achieve and vice versa. I believe coach of the year should be meant for coaches that have high expectation and do achieve that. Prime example being Kerr.

As for the OP - being in the east helps quite a bit, i certainly think the Knicks were the biggest disappointment from that list and with the addition of a top 3 pick i see no excuse for them to not make the 8th seed with Melo healthy.

And hello from Belgium.

Celtics might make the playoffs this year. That's how pathetic the East is.

Lakers play in the brutal west, and the Knicks are the Knicks.

The Celtics are the only one that have a realistic shot, great coach and solid team.

Knicks are garbage, and Lakers, even if decent next year, are in the West.

The east is a joke but some of the teams that made it that way are playing a lot better.

Boston\Indy\Charlotte or Toronto\Chiczgo\Washington

lakers 2-3 years ,west is insane
boston and new york because of east conf can play from the next year

but all these 3 teams i think the need more than 4 years to be contenders
unless the land a good player like KD OR AD
