I'm not one to brand myself, not that I honestly care about it, I just prefer plain things
The North Face are pretty cool, got some sweet jackets; which surprisingly look pretty plain despite the small logo

Tops, jackets: I'm an H+M, Forever 21, Old Navy type of guy. I don't go to branded as I like my attire to last more than a couple of seasons. If I do get a brand it's usually RVCA.
Jeans: I will spend a little more as I find the more you spend on denim the better the comfort, quality, and durability. I like Diesel for my high end and Buffalo for more everyday
Shoes: I was a Jordan guy for years. Now I'm pretty urban in my selection. For ball I like Adidas. I currently where Cons or Puma Clydes for everyday use

Talk about stuff lasting a long time, HM and all those other places are crap. One wash and the shirts are ruined.
I recommend spending a little more for quality.
I can't recommend brands because people like different stuff. I usually buy a season's collection and be over it.

It lasts as long as the trend for that season does. I'd rather invest 1/4 of the cost for the designer version especially when the item goes outdated.
The seasonal stuff like plain v neck shirts I've owned for years from Old Navy or Forever 21.

Patagonia is the nicest/highest quality stuff I've ever owned. Yes it's expensive but it is worth it because if any of your stuff get's ripped or starts falling apart they will repair it for free and/or give you a credit if it's irreparable. I've got Patagonia button down shirts, jackets and fleeces that have lasted me a long time and will likely last me forever. My Dad has had Patagonia clothes for over 30 years that he still can wear. Mountain Hardwear and The North Face are my second and third choices as they are incredibly good quality as well.
I should note that as far as just plain T-Shirts go, i do love those American Apparel Cotton T-Shirts a whole lot.
I also love some Carhartt stuff as well.

Nothing is outdated if you know what you are buying. A season's collection can last a season and long afterwards.
Higher end clothing lines tend to stick with a more classic conservative look.
My buddy bought 30 pairs of True Religion and guess what? He cannot wear them anymore. A season's collection are only a handful of pieces enough to look sharp and good. You can probably mix and match a couple of times before it starts to feel old.

I became a HUGE North Face fan after picking up their Nuptse down jacket before the winter this year. Throw on one of their fleece hats, and New England winters are easier to face. I still rock Timberlands in the winter; haven't been able to get over that phase. Working with a pair of gray ones right now. As far as actual clothes go...don't really have a huge preference. I think the closest thing I have to a favorite brand is Ralph Lauren's Polo line.
Grew up in the 90s if you can't tell. :oldlol:
