I feel like they are stacked yet underachieve every year. Does Griffin need to step it up another level?

Depth, and a tall player who can dominate.

Solution: trade Griffin for a few very good players, tbh.

CP3 is a good playoffs performer. Blake Griffin needs to elevate his game in the playoffs.

Chris Paul's PPG goes up by 2 in the playoffs for his career, his FG% is marginally better, and his assists are basically the same. This isn't on him.

Defensive wings. Matt Barnes wont get it done. Plus after him, their next best defender is the 6 foot chris paul.

Bench. Pretty much at every position.

Go and rewatch last seasons playoffs, his end of game chokes were lebronesque..
Also when his team is down he is nowhere to be found..

But it's ok, keep obsessing over your stats. And when CP3 fails to make it out of the second round as always I'm sure it's someone else's fault:cheers:

Another good wing player.

A lot of times teams throw their biggest and best perimeter defender on CP3. Klay, Leonard, Ariza, and Allen all have guarded CP3 in long stretches. They can do that because they know Matt Barnes and Reddick aren't much of a threat.

Paul shot 6/7 in the 4th quarter of game 6 v OKC last season, how is that loss his fault?

yeah touche, DJ, griffin and paul combine to make a deadly force but it seems they lack that one player who is the downright best and demand the ball in certain situations. They are stacked in the sense of good to very good players but have noone elite other than paul who unfortunately can't play the role as the crunch time finisher more often than not because he is only 5'10 and can easily be shut down when a team really desires it.

can't rely on DJ do much offense though...he's all defense. I'd rather have a two-way front court like the Grizz, Gasol/ZBo, or even the Bulls, Noah/Gasol.

They need a closer... He could be on the team right now, CP3 can take over games but it's hit or miss on when he does it... CP3 can flat out disappear at times

Griffin? he's hard to get a handle on, still not sure if he's an elite player or an athletic freak in disguise.. he seems to have all the skills but something doesn't scream give me the ball get out of my way and I'll win this for you

better defense, team rebounding, and a better bench.

Blake needs to take a mini-leap now that he's squarely in his prime. He needs to be a reliable go-to player and/or playmaker. It's good his FT% has improved late in games. Teams are putting guys 6" or taller onto CP3 in fourth quarters and it disrupts the offense. CP3 is at the later part of his prime and has lost 2 steps since his New Orleans days and maybe a whole step since he got to LA. He has trouble finishing at the rim now. For reference, his right elbow jumper FG% is 53%, versus 55% at the rim.

They need 2-way wings, badly, including one that can create their own shot. GM Doc has been terrible in fixing this issue, which people have been harping on about for awhile now. I don't think you can win a title when your second best perimeter playmaker is Crawford. Not at his age, anyways.

Their depth is a joke. Doc was banking on T. Prince & Perkins being bought out to bolster their bench. In 2015. Ainge has sincerely trolled them since Doc left Boston. Pretty sure their starting 5 has best net rating in the league for the full year, and this team relies on Barnes a LOT. Their bench is searching for scrap heap solutions in March. That's not a good sign.

Shouldn't have let Gentry go.

They've needed an upgrade at SF for like ever. They keep cycling through washed up SF's to try to fill the spot (Turkey Glue, Captain Jack, etc.)

Hayward/Parsons/Deng would of been perfect for the Clips, Jeff Green or Josh Smith wouldn't be so bad either.

Aside from an intelligent perimeter scorer? Blake Griffin from playing tough. He ups his rebounding, defense and overall efficiency, the Clippers go all the way.

Unfortunately I don't see that happening. He is who he is.

depth

Thing is....they haven't even passed 2nd round the last few years and they're a worse team now, whilst other teams have improved or still going strong.

Clippers have no chance.

There was a 3 team trade last year that included the Clippers sending out Griffin, Crawford and some picks and getting back Klay, Barnes and Love. Doc Rivers nixed it
