In today's rules?

Bad offense/Good defense

Center is the most important position to have a good defender... so the first option. Unless I had completely inept offensive players at every other position.

You can't play either in the 4th Quarter, so it's really a lose-lose.

It's like saying

Eddie Curry or Joakim Noah

Depends how bad the good defensive center's offense is. Like if it's Kendrick Perkins, then im not taking him. I want someone like Hibbert or Noah.

Good defense often leads to fastbreak opportunities which will always be more efficient than set plays in the half-court

The great defense obviously. The game in general is now more perimeter oriented offensively, so itt's more important that your center controls the paint defensively than he score.

Great defense/bad offense..

You don't need to run your O through the C, but if he's weak defensively he's a bit of a liability, or lets say makes the game much easier for opponents.

No, that is great appetite vs great defense.

So you're telling me that Ben Wallace was unplayable in the 4th quarters? :hammerhead:

Tyson Chandler proved defense over offense. Dude can't even dribble.

He said great defense. Chandler is very good at most at his peak. He's the weakest big man defensively to ever be handed the DPOY.

I agree that his DPOY was pretty weak but he did play great D the year before, during Dallas' Finals run.

So...Shaq's offense with Boozer defense

or

Ben Wallace

I might take offense.

Hack-a-Wallace all day, everyday.

For the offensive center, they'll get abused on the pick and role in crunch time just like Kevin Love does now.

Like I said, lose-lose.
