View Full Version : Utah Jazz defense is filthy good

Best defensive ranking in the league since trading away Kanter, absolutely no weak links of there on the defensive end, with Golbert locking down the paint with a vengeance. Not to underestimate their perimeter defense, which is top 3 minimum.

Pure filth, no one cares of course cause it's the Jazz, but still awfully impressive.

There's weak links. Rudy makes everyone look good. Burke certainly sucks at D. He probably won't be part of their future though anyway.

...Trey Burke sucks at everything basketball related. Every day that goes by that he plays significant minutes in the NBA makes me wonder why he isn't in the dleague.

no pun intended

Rudy Gobert is primetime.

I hear Burke sucks the d. Good for team chemistry or something.

Fine, everyone except Burke, dude probably shouldn't even be on the team.

He's talking about offensively, dumbfvck. They've played a grand total of 2 teams ranked in the top 12 in the league in ORT and 0 inside the top 8

What word would you use to describe Houston's and Memphis' offense?

Houston could perhaps be called decent, Memphis is below average, they are defensive oriented team.

What about the other 10 teams I mentioned? Could you be honest and just say that the large majority of the teams that Utah has played have been bad teams especially offensively?

The have played against bad teams, but their DRTg difference isn't just a fluke. Have you actually watched Kanter play? His defense is garbage
And OKC has played some poor offensive teams since they got Kanter like the Lakers, Sixers, Bulls (no Butler/Rose/Gibson), Wolves, and Celtics. It's no fluke they have such a shit DRTG despite playing those scrubs.

Plus Gobert is arguably DPOY. The Jazz do have a solid defense. Try the eye test

Was a good trade for both teams tbh. Kanter compliments Ibaka really well and has shown great chemistry with Westbrook so far. Jazz on the other hand gets to unleash Gobert :applause:

They hustle so damn hard. That Dante Exum sprint down the court to save the ball made me go HOLY SHIIIIIIT.

They needed him tonight but yes he should be in the Dleague right now.

Houston was one of their toughest match-ups earlier in the year when they sucked.

Loving Exum's defense. For a 19 year old he seems great. Had some good possessions against Wall the other night.

what are you using to rate these teams???

Washington, Memphis, and Houston are all around average on offense. Even if we concede the point your making they are still shutting down "bad" offensive like how an elite defensive team should

Utah has been sexy on defense since the Kanter trade

but to act like the weak competition doesnt have something to do with the amazing #'s, is just naive

Not surprised, this is what happens when you hire your new HC from the Budenholzer coaching tree :confusedshrug:

One assistant hired and Bud already has a better coaching tree than Phil :oldlol:
