With KD out for the season, there is no doubt anymore, the crown is his.
Well deserved

He will have to average like 40PPG if OKC wanna win any games without KD/Ibaka. :lol

Against garbage teams, vs playoff squads they will have issues. Hell, OKC may not even make the playoffs if Durant isn't back. I doubt even Westbrook can carry a team whose second option is Dion Waiters. :oldlol:

OKCs remaining schedule is easier than New Orleans, Davis is also out, and they have Kanter as the second option now.
OKC will make the playoffs, they won't get out of the first round though.

Will they be considered empty stats is the question.

Harden is close enough to steal it in the remaining games.

This. Harden could get the title if he decided to.

When was the last time a PG won the scoring title? I know that Allen Iverson won it in 2004-2005 while being listed as a PG, but who last won it excluding that?

And Iverson in 02, 01, and 99? Tiny Archibald. Led the league in assists the same year. Think that's the only time it's happened.

Iverson was listed as a shooting guard for those seasons, that's why I didn't consider them.
I checked Archibald's stats, he won his scoring title in the 1972-1973 season...wow. 30 odd years between him and Iverson, another ten between Iverson and Westbrook (assuming he holds on), it would still make for only 3 instances in the league's nearly 70 year history.

The Rockets still have 14 games left in the season, why are you already crowning Westbrook?

And he is currently shooting .428 from the field, too.
His eFG% is .455 in a league that is shooting .495.
And his TS% is .539 in a league that is shooting .533.

At the rate in which Westbrick is going, he might challenge Iverson's scoring title in which AI shot .398...albeit, he will be well behind Iverson's 31.4 ppg mark in the process.
He is truly a hyena on cocaine

Aren't you a Rose stan?
I love the inconsistency with you. I'd be a mess too if my biggest idol was dead and the other was made out of glass.

If he wins the scoring title and gets OKC into the playoffs, he should win All-NBA 1st team  lol not expecting MVP
Although he won't, with Curry and Harden basically locks.

What does Rose... and shooting poorly in an all-out attempt to win a scoring title have to do with each other?

He's attempting to win games. Why on Earth would you assume he's gunning for the scoring title?
You're out of touch with reality, old man.

But didn't Rose anchor a team that went 62-20 and win an MVP in the process?

Only usage rate I've seen as high as Westbrook's current (38.3%) is 06 Kobe (38.7%)
Westbrook assists 47.8% of field goals while he's on the floor
Kobe... 24%
Kobe: 35/5/5 on 27 shots 45%
Westbrook: 27.6/8/7 on 21 shots, 43%
what do you guys find more impressive?

for a player who is currently shooting an FG% of .455 in a league that is shooting an eFG% of .495...

But, but, but...he might lead in the NBA in scoring though...
AI might consider a comeback...
