Very far out of his prime, riddled with injuries, on a complete Tank Team.

Doesn't effect the legacy of his prime much at all. This is Kobe's impersonation of Wizard's Jordan.

how is this surprising? Kobe was taking 22 shots per game and nobody else on this team is good enough to be taking 12 shots per game

Kobe was playing crap compared to his standard. He was rusty and didn't have his legs on his jump shot. This injury really killed his game. In 2013 he was a beast.

Oh it was rust that made him launch up the horrible shots he was taking? More than half of the 10 worst shots of his career are in this 35 game season.

Hey Yo
03-21-2015, 06:36 PM
Saw this posted elsewhere about Kobe's short season.

Can we just talk about Kobe stats in general here? Check out these two sets of per-36 numbers...

23.3, 5.9 reb, 5.9 assists, 37.3% fg, 3.8 turnovers, 1.9 fouls
37.3% FG, 29.3% from three

21.3 ppg, 4.87 reb, 4.32 assists, 2.67 turnovers, 2.75 fouls
41.5%fg and 33.7% from three

The first stats is obviously his 2014/2015 season stats. The second one are his stats from games played in June throughout his career. As in.... the NBA Finals.

:oldlol: exposed

Now it takes a special kind of idiot to use per 36 for the finals when the player in question obviously plays more than 36 minutes during finals games

And on top of that, Kobes actual finals numbers are 25/5/5 which just shows how desperate of an attempt of knocking him by using per 36 in that context

Now put down your phone and grab the spatula because there are probrably customers waiting.

Kobe averaged 19ppg in the 2000 finals at 20 years old, you're including a game in which he played 9 minutes and then got injured and never came back into the game..

Kobe missed the next game and the Lakers lost..

Next game Kobe took over and the Lakers won by 2, the game was a battle, taking the life out out of the pacers as the Lakers went up 3-1

This is the type of post you get when you don't even know the history of that series... you think you found some little nugget but all you've done is expose yourself as a boxscore watcher

Do we need to remind you in game 2 he sprained his ankle 5 minutes into the game after landing on Jalen Roses foot.. a moment Rose now admits to doing on purpose I'll add so that counts as a game but he barely played.. he missed game 3 came back and scored 28 in game 4, re-injured it in game 5 and was hobbling around then scored 26 in game 6

Course you'd know this and take it into context had you actually been watching the game

Kobe did have a bad series but he was 20 years old, this was the only championship season he was a sidekick.

funny thing is if you take out his game when he only played 9 minutes he still averaged more points than LeBron (in his prime) did in the 2011 finals. 18.8 > 17.8
