Are all of these going to be about Nash and the Suns?

Oh yes

Great players like Joe Johnson and Leandro Barbosa!

Is that sarcasm? Joe was great in his prime. Barbosa was an excellent 6th man. Heck, even Boris Diaw was underrated until last year.

Nash was what made that team look stacked. Look at their roster from 2003-2004 compared to 2004-2005. A'mare Stoudemire, Shawn Marion, Joe Johnson, and Leandro Barbosa were there for '03 and '04, the only real roster change was Nash replacing Stephon Marbury (their leading PPG scorer in '03) and the other middling PGs as the primary starter. If he's not the x-factor, who is?

Phoenix went 29-53 in '03 and went 62-20 in '04 . Their FG% as a team went up 30 points. The '03 Suns finished 9th in FG%, 24th in assists, and 19th in turnovers....the '04 Suns finished 2nd in FG%, 3rd in assists, and 7th in turnovers. They almost doubled their 3PA from '03 to '04 and shot almost 40% (39.3%, #1 in the league) as a team. The team had a much better year in '04 and Nash was what caused that change.

As a postscript, as much as I love Nash, please stop making so many threads about him. I don't want to see Nash given the 3ball treatment. If people want to sleep on him, that's their business, but I don't want to see ignorance turn into dislike.
