Let's be real, the fact that the Thunder being the 8th seed at the moment without him will sway into his favor.

KD comes back healthy, leads them to the first seed once again with a healthy Thunder team, and he'll get all of the credit. That's how the media will take it anyways. That will be the narrative.

He continues his reign as the best player in the world, wins the championship, and shits on any possibility of joining shitty Washington.
