This guy, he gets no respect.

He gets a ton of respect. You crazy.

I don't think he translates to the pros. Mostly because nearly every college coach who made the jump hasn't. Few exceptions like Larry Brown but the list is short.

But he's the best college coach in the land.

Yes he is a great college coach but still untested NBA coach?
Ask the Spurs when they hired Tark
or Warriors when they hired Mike Montgomery
Or MJ when he acquired Hamilton or Bulls with Floyd
Or Calipari with Nets

Izzo has it made at Michigan State. He's got job security and he's making big money.

He's the Big Ten's Krzyewski, only without the weird hair.
