View Full Version : Damn it...Westbrook wants to make me a believer.

I don't care about "efficiency." Westbrook is putting up monster numbers and winning. The turnovers and missed shots are irrelevant. He's doing whatever the hell his team needs to win.

Has a chance to be the best rebounding PG of all time.

He dished out 17 assists, with 4 steals and 2 blocks while turning the ball over 6 times, I say his turnovers are reasonable comparing to what he does the rest of possessions.

The way he is putting up numbers and dominating is impressive, he's basically a shorter, less skilled version of a younger LeBron

Westbrook was really good today, but Kanter and Adams had more of an impact in getting the 'W'. If he has another 6-8 elite seasons, along with a ring/MVP, he can end up being a top 3 GOAT PG.

No trolling but in all honesty Westbrook is probably better than Kobe ever was right now. I don't see a scenario where Westbrook doesn't win the ring in the 2000-2002 and 2008-2010 Lakers in place of Kobe

I was more impressed with Kanter this game but nonetheless Westbrook was finding his teammates and setting them up for good shots

I would say that too, but Durant was more impactful towards getting the team wins last year than Westbrook is this year. This year just make me realize how important Durant is to the team, even despite Westbrook being a triple double machine.

With that said tho, the team can't catch a break. They've been fighting injuries for the past three years now.

As if the teams Westbrook has played with have been scrubs, they are definitely better than the 08-10 Lakers. Who would you rather ball with Gasol or Durant?

Why hasn't Westbrook gotten it done in OKC? The fact is that Westbrook has more athleticism and talent than almost anyone. What hold him back is that he makes mental mistakes down the stretch too often, he doesn't control the flow of the game correctly when it counts the most.

17 assists + 4 steals - 6 turnovers = +14

Is there an official stat for this?

Very good point. Westbrook seems to have a lack of control, which is a double edged sword. It makes him very difficult to guard, but also sees him make some boneheaded mistakes which have cost the thunder games.

If anyone serioulsy believes that the peak play of WB>Durant is a phucking donkey.

WB is playing off the charts, but Durant can play off the charts without shooting with terrible efficiency and so many turnovers.

This team without him wins like 20-25 games (minus durant/ibaka too). He single handily makes them a 45-50 win team. He has a Kobe effect... Not quite a Lebron effect where he can take a 20-25 win team to 60 wins, but there are very few players who can make a 20 game+ plus difference... he's one of them.
