And that's not really even a special Finals game/performance for Russell.

He was a repeat 20/20/5/(and probably 5+ blocks) player for several NBA Finals series during his prime.

If Wilt's Finals are a bad thing in the eyes of some, Russell's numbers MUST give Russell a clear case as GOAT. He had many epic Finals Games/Series.

During his prime in the NBA Finals Bill Russell averaged (blocked shots unknown, likely 5+):

1961 NBA Finals Series:
17.6ppg, 28.8rpg, 4.4apg
42.9% fg, 44.9% ft

1962 NBA Finals Series:
22.9ppg, 27.0rpg, 5.7apg
54.3% fg, 74.2% ft

1963 NBA Finals Series:
20ppg, 26.3rpg, 5.3apg
46.7% fg, 69.2% ft

1964 NBA Finals series:
11.2ppg, 25.2rpg, 5apg
38.6% fg, 48% ft

1965 NBA Finals Series:
17.8ppg, 25.0rpg, 5.8apg
70.2% fg, 57.5% ft (Still NBA Finals record FG%)

1966 NBA Finals Series:
23.6ppg, 24.3rpg, 3.7apg
53.8% fg, 74% ft

I wish. I've only got a couple fragments of '62 Finals games. Can't draw highlights from game fragments. A shame because I think one of the "fragments" I've got is a game where Russell had 40 rebounds. Which might still be the NBA Finals record.

Τhat was Game 7 of the series. It indeed is the NBA Finals record and the 2nd best overall playoff record. However, I think Russell grabbed 18 of these rebounds in only a quarter which doesn't exist on video (2nd).

Btw, I don't view that play at 3:30 as a blocked shot, West seems to make up his mind in the air and tries to pass.

If that's the case, than he had 7 blocked shots, 1 steal if you count his deflection as the primary cause of the turnover. Probably not worth me uploading but I'll make a note of it in the video comments. An impressive defensive game to watch either way.

Russell did beef up his post-season stats vs the Lakers in that decade ('62, '63, '65, '66, and then '68...as well as '69, where they took a dramatic decline...)

He also had an exceptional series against the Hawks in '61, as shown above.

However, there was one series on that list which was unlike the other's...

the '64 Finals.
