View Full Version : Are Damian Lillard's shoes affecting his jumpshot? Horrific slump.

I was bored and decided to make a spreadsheet. I calculated Damian Lillard's field goal percentage since his shoe debut on January 14th.
In his 38 games before January 14th he shot 45.8% from the field. He was averaging 7.5 made shots on 16.4 attempts.
Since he started wearing his signature Adidas shoes his field goal percentage has plummeted. In 31 games since that January 14th he has shot 40.2% from the field. He has averaged 6.8 makes on 16.8 shot attempts.
He is now shooting more shots and making fewer of them since he changed shoes. I bring this up because Lebron complained of the same issue. I think this is a legit issue. Anyone else think it's partly the shoes? This is a major drop for a guard that shoots that often.

Give the guy a break, it was a simple mistake.
"In fact" is two words, if we want to go down that route.

It's not the shoes.
It's the fact that he focuses most of his time and some wack Christian rap career and whining about all-star selections knowing that come the end of his career it is literally the only legacy he'll have.

Could be.
Adidas are known to do terrible things to nba players.
Nike 4 life.

Nope his slim body just cannot handle the NBA 82 game season. Nothing wrong with that but he doesnt deserve all the hype just because he does a couple commercials and all star events. Tony Parker and Teague are leaps and bounds better but they dont market themselves as much

A more probable explanation is that he is still adjusting to different shoes.

His new shoes doesn't have the Adidas boost technology because he wanted his shoes to be "affordable".
Should of thought about how it would affect his game more so than his shoe sales. (they're really ugly shoes) Adidas should just stick to Soccer.
