"Letting defenders bludgeon him without calling fouls"
"We're looking at foul that was let go, obviously in the pre-game meetings we came to the conclusion that we were not going to give Allen Iverson any marginal foul calls"
Interview: "did anyone in the nba know about it"
Donaghy: "there was a group supervisor at the game that came in at halftime laughing and he stated that he felt that iverson had the got the message"
Interesting bit on Kobe aswell, the lakers sent footage into the league office and continued to complain about blocked shot missed foul calls. Donaghy won several bets on the lakers cos he knew the refs were giving Kobe a good chance to get to the line

So, because a lying felon trying to get out of jail time says so, it must be true!

He's confessing to everything he's already done the time..Anyway, its an interesting watch and how the gambino crime family brought donaghy down. If he didnt get involved with them he may well be still reffing games today.

I don't think he's lying. The NBA definitely controls games. They control pace. I've seen the way they ref Harden at times. Early in the game he can get every call and ten sometimes late they let worse contact go and don't give him anything. Did anyone catch Lebron and him at the end of the Cleveland game? They are as tangled up as any two players I've ever seen and nothing go called.
They call fouls based on momentum and the situation. Ever notice how a team up 30 stops getting the calls they were getting? The NBA hates blowouts for most games. I bet for some spreads they did favor blow out victories. In general refs keep games close.

"The mob made a few million conservatively speaking off tim donaghy picks"
"The mob made a few million conservatively speaking off tim donaghy picks"
Funny how the nba managed to brush all this under the rug. And it has fans swearing nothing happended.

The fact that donaghy was only making a couple of thousand of his bets is mind boggling. He probably would never have been caught if he didn't get involved with the gambino family. Those chumps threatened his wife and kids and in the end donaghy stopped co-operating with them but by then it was to late they had made so much money off his picks warranting lots of attention by the feds and a tip off that an " Nba refs was helping the mob" set alarms and was his undoing.
He probs could have avoided suspicion and made a sneaky grand or 2 every week + still be ref'ng games today

So? Who cares? Anyone who has ever played basketball with refs and has gotten to "know" refs knows this is true and it does not ****ing matter. Refs are people, surprise surprise. Just like your opponents might like, or not like you, refs will also like, or not like you.
If you're a good player you don't really give a shit, you just go out and play. If the refs aren't calling the game your way, you tend to get to know which refs will call a game which way and you adapt. Quit acting like AI is any more a victim than any other player of ref favoritism or hate, every player that has ever played goes through the same shit.

The NBA is shady as ****. They're not nearly as bad as the IOC/FIFA but they're easily the worst North American sports organization.
I don't know how credible Donaghy really is but it wouldn't surprise me if it came out that the NBA was setting up certain matches.

Nobody is acting that way its merely a quote from the video/interview..with actual footage of the game where he gets bludgeoned... but who cares not the focal point..
Why are you getting so defensive and attacking imaginary people. Its a thread with a video and an interview not a forum for debate on whether AI is good or not or if he gets special treatment.. just a convicted criminal who has done his time and telling his story. I apologize for putting the words Allen Iverson in its more a video about Tim Donaghy and crooked ref's.

You catch more flies with honey, but AI never gave a fucc. That's what made AI, AI. He wasn't gonna play by your rules, he was gonna spit in your face and do his own shit. Would AI be the same dude if he had these hairtrigger calls all day? Nope, AI was a warrior.

Refs must have been making some serious coin betting on Bran, although sometimes people like Jason Terry or Kawhi Leonard foil their plans
