View Full Version : Why are the Brooklyn Nets so irrelavant?

Besides the awful Joe Johnson trade. Swapping pick this year with the Hawks (best record in the east)

Besides the awful Paul Peirce trade. Gave up multiple first round picks for pierce and then let him walk away to save money,

Besides the Gerald Wallace trade. Basically gave away Damian Lillard for Crash, just to make D-Will happy.

Besides giving D-Will a max contract. An average PG, with no leadership skills.

Besides all that why're still so irrelevant? people don't even care how much they suck and how awful their trades have been.

They get some of the worst TV ratings in the sport.

Knicks have the worst record in the NBA and they're still 30 times more relavant to NBA fans then BK.

SO MUCH FOR TAKING OVER NY.

Nobody cares about you Brooklyn. Just disband the team.

Stop trying to make the NETS happen, they're never gonna happen.

Newsflash, the entire northeast is irrelevant in basketball. Wizards, Celtics, 76er's, Knicks, and Nets all suck.

I don't know what that guy is so salty about, it's not as if he is a Nets fan. Dude has made 500 threads on the Warriors this year, found himself a new wagon  Talk about gutless and phony. I'm sure Kobe enjoys his fans stanning for the Warriors :oldlol:

Knicks are terrible, but they will never be irrelevant

Because they suck and have absolutely no young assets.

Knicks atleast some young guys (THJ, Larkin) and they have a top draft pick this year, same with lakers (Randle, a bunch of young starters)

Other teams like sixers, celtics, twolves have young prospects to get excited about. Nets literally could not be in a worse position. Theyre going to barely miss the playoffs and they wont even have picks until like 2022. Theyre a treadmill without the trending up part.

Shouldn't the hipsters all be fans of the Nets while they suck? Then stop caring once they are cool?

They are still relatively new in Brooklyn. This is the first year they are likely to miss the playoffs as the Brooklyn Nets. Need time to brand a winning product and a fan base to follow. Owner tried to buy his way to a chip and blew up their future. Can't work in today's NBA.

As for "taking over"... I know that's a marketing thing. But even if they are serious about all that, again... that would need time and the owner was too impatient and the management is even worse.

Just like the clippers. No one really cares about the. Its just something to do when the lakers, which currently suck ass, arent playing.

Or Early.

They don't really have any impressive young talent outside of whoever they will draft this year, which could potentially be Okafor or Towns.

Larkin and THJ.... Really??

Well if they can be mentioned I might as well mention Sergey Karasev, Markel Brown, Cory Jefferson.

But hey let's not forget Mason Plumlee
