I would expect the basketball equivalent of what happened to the 49ers this off season to happen to OKC if they fired Brooks. Do Lakers honestly want love at this point? Do people see randle becoming a 3? If not, a 5 year contract for love will do nothing but hinder randles development. There is no way in hell you can play those two together in the front court and expect any sort of defensive impact.

Westbrook on the other hand would be an amazing fit. A westbrook/clarkson backcourt is uber athletic and both guards are 2 way players and interchangable at the 1 and 2. Sign/draft a defensive C (towns?, DJ) and LA will have a team they can be proud of.

the lakers have two option. keep clarkson/randle and draft another stud and try to win 3-4 years from now when those dudes develop or trade for love and westbrook and cross their fingers those two will have the chemistry to win.
