I've been around athletics for a long time and trust me when I say this; Kevin is done. Atleast the MVP one we knew. Foot problems are bad.

He'll never play another healthy season again. At best if he's lucky... 60 games.

He'll play 75+ games next year and win MVP.

Book that.

Been around athletics all my life. Seen many injuries. I know a thing or two about this.

As an orthopedic surgeon, I'm really the only one on this site that's qualified to have an opinion.

He's winning MVP and FMVP next season. There's no way around it.

KD's the type of dude to actually make the most of his off-time, unlike D-Rose.

KD is a cerebral player. His basketball IQ and perspective on the game will be heightened.

Durant 2.0 is coming.

"Via OKC release on Durant, he fell into 5-8% of Jones fracture surgeries that don't succeed. That's why bone graft procedure is coming now"

From Wikipedia:

Prognosis[edit]
For several reasons, a Jones fracture may not unite. The diaphyseal bone (zone II), where the fracture occurs, is an area of potentially poor blood supply, existing in a watershed area between two blood supplies. This may compromise healing. In addition, there are various tendons, including the peroneus brevis and fibularis tertius, and two small muscles attached to the bone. These may pull the fracture apart and prevent healing.

Yikes, so that's it for prime KD? It was short, but good.

This is proof that the NBA needs to do something about the season length. All these injuries become overwhelming.

Like I said 2 months ago, HIS FRACTURE NEVER EVEN HEALED.

He was literally playing on a broken foot and was STILL the undisputed best player in basketball. That is ****ing INCREDIBLE.

Big deal... Westbrook had 5 surgeries since april 2013(including 2 this season) and is putting up a 27/7/9 season....on a historic 29.6 PER

How is that even remotely similar to Durant's situation?

He was playing on a broken foot.

Yeah, big deal.

Exactly. Most of these fat ****s couldn't walk to the fridge on a broken foot without the help of crutches, let alone average 25/6/4 on incredible efficiency. Not to mention he was an absolute monster on defense.

Google Roddy Beaubois. People in October that thought this injury was a minor setback did not know the problems associated with this injury.

I asked this in another thread, has there ever been a 6-10 and over player that had foot problems and came back fully from it?

I honestly can't think of any. Every player that I can think of that size with foot problems either had their career end outright, was a shell of their former self, or was put on very strict regulations for how many games and minutes they could play and still had to retire very young.

Even if he loses his agility...his shooting is still GOAT level and can have a good career...

There are hundreds of 6-10 and taller guys in Europe that can shoot lights out from any range.

Without his agility, mobility, athleticism, ability to elevate, etc. he's just Novak with a somewhat passable handle.

It's not the height per se it's the weight and lets be honest Durant isn't a big guy... he's fairly slim

Durant hopping around on one foot is more athletic then Novak

He could be a great pickup for Cleveland

I would still start JR over him though, but he would make a great 6th man.

Fudge is the reason why KD got hurt. Ever since that shit stain posted "Yes, twist that ankle, little boy" to Curry, Durant hurt his ankle and was never the same after that.
