No one really talks about this team anymore. Is there any chance at all that they'll attain relevancy in the next few seasons? Those trades they made really fvcked them up the ass.

Billy King destoyed the franchise and it's future. But to be fair, he was probably pressured by Russian overloads.

Hopefully flip some of their expiring contracts and players who have a semblance of worth left (Lopez) for a draft pick or two and prey they get a winner. But besides that, they're going to have to just overpay any player who will consider giving them the time of day.

Doesn't help that their owner is about to bail. Even the Jazz are in a better situation than them...

Russian mafia set them back at least a decade

Sell the team.

Fire Billy King, hire a GM that has close knowledge of Daryl Morey or Danny Ainge.

Start building through the draft when Deron Williams and Joe Johnson expire.

Trade Brook Lopez for young pieces and draft picks.

Fire Hollins, hire a young coach with potential.

Build a team that fits today's era (three, layups, perimeter passing, and defense).

Have everyone except Mason Plumlee on the trading block.

It's gonna take a while, but it'll be worth it to have a brand new young team with potential than have an overpriced team in purgatory (late lottery).

Agree with everything but keeping Plumlee off the trading block. Nothing specialy about him. He can go for the right deal

That Celtics trade has to be one of the worst in history

I still don't know what Deron Williams' deal is. Is he still hurt or what? Dude has looked terrible, at least in the Bucks-Nets games I've seen. The numbers are abysmal too.

Endured the end of their game against the Cavs?

How'd they win? LOL

Their offense was so bloody stagnant when I was watching them, was truly horrible basketball, reminded me of a 2k bug or something

They went from being a possible contender to a giant trash can filled with old junk. The team is a mess right now. A combination of average players who get overpaid is never a good thing. Joe Johnson, a 33 year old guy who averages 15/5/4 is getting paid $23 million. Deron Williams is getting close to $20 million, and he's just an average point guard at this stage of his career. Not to mention, the Nets will have to pay him 21 and 22 million for the next 2 seasons. Poison pill on roids. Other than those two, Brook Lopez and Thad Young, the rest of the guys are pretty much dog shit.

Plumlee's shot blocking and pick and roll potential will be useful when Brooklyn converts to today's system of threes and layups.

He's probably the best of his age class at those abilities. Who'd be surprised how low the number of athletic centers that can catch lobs, block shots, and play defense.

keep d-will, trade everyone else. D-will can still fly if he isnt surrounding by scrubs.

That is not good considering his injury history.

True, but at least they have Melo, one of Russell/Okafor/Towns/Mudiay and salary cap relief (nets are in salary cap hell, naughty boys).

I can see the Lakers making an offer for Lopez and Johnson since both of their contracts expire next season and start a fresh rebuild in 2016 but no one is going to take Deron's contract off their hands.

Billy King destoyed the franchise and it's future.

Didn't he do the same to the Sixers?

Why is this guy still in the NBA? People with money and power are so stupid :facepalm
