Howard's stats have always looked pretty good, but it really isn't about that.


How and when he impacts a game is vital. Good Howard is dominant. Average to poor Howard has a negative affect on a team that expects Howard to lead from the front. Same goes with the pouting and lack of aggression.

Not your typical one two punch, like a Shaq/Kobe type of thing.


He had nobody else who could break down the teams defense off the dribble or create their own shot consistently, which is why the Heat were able to use lopsided defensive tactics.

Deng is fairly limited on offense. His ball handling is below average and team's were able to shut him down from his drives. Boozer's style of play didn't really impact the series. He was solid at rebounding, but his lack of rim protection and fade away jump shots were weak.

Yep. We also have a much deeper big man rotation. Our bench is light years better then last season as well. When you can potentially bring in the likes of Josh Smith, Montiunes or Terrence jones and Corey Brewer off the bench you are in good shape.

I'm hoping the Spurs climb to 3 so we can avoid them in the 2nd round (if we get there). I have a feeling they're gonna end up 4th and matched up against Memphis though. That means either way we get a tough matchup in the 2nd round. :facepalm
