It's not inconceivable that Hitler escaped, but like others have said he probably died a few years later anyway. Still many high ranking Nazis did escape to Argentina and other countries. Josef Mengele, the evil doctor of Auschwitz was able to avoid capture and lead a comfortable life.

The German economy was in the shitter thanks in large part to the beatdown they took as a result of the Treaty of Versailles.
