I've forgotten about him completely. Well... Maybe he was. I didn't notice when he left, just like some other guys. Alright.

2005-2006, 2006-2007 Mavericks teams were crazy good.

If a couple bad things went good (chocking a 2-0 lead vs Miami, then running into Baron Davis) Dirk could of had 3 Rings and 3 FMVPs, potentially putting him in the top 10 GOAT.

He won't like it but it is what it is..

May sound like a reach, but I doubt as reigning Champs they melt the way they did in '07.

Truly the best team those 2 years :(

I remember Josh Howard for that horrible TO he called in one game in Miami during that finals series.

That was like for a 2 month period when they were scrambling for an additional 2-3 guard roster spot...

Always liked him, despite his off-court antics. Wasn't a good combination with Avery, though, who wanted to make him more of a #1 person and gave him way too many isos. A guy like Carlisle would have utilized Howard way better without giving him too many opportunities to freeze the offense or fill his head with crazy ideas about being a superstar.

poor man's kawai

not legit tho, since if that were the case, this thread wouldn't be filled with

"oooooh yea, i remember him...?"

he did have a smart efficient game. along with the midrange step-back he used to throw up these baby hooks in the lane, kinda like wade does, and they were always money. soft touch.

I remember DeMar DeRozan's draft express profile saying that the best case scenario he would turn out to be was Josh Howard.

Turned out to be totally different players and roles, though.

On topic, liked his game but he's a head case.

DeMar doesn't have his killer midrange and I agree they are different. Howard was smooth as heck.
