Ask me in 10 years. It's not a fair comparison to both players.

One has a long career and several rings but is in the twilight of his career, and the other is in his prime but his career almost just begun.

He didn't say he'd be the best SG. He's saying he could be better than Kobe as the second best SG ever.Which too is absurd. As is him being better than West, Wade, Drexler, or hell ... McGrady, Ray Allen etc.

Yes he has. He might not have reached the raw numbers but actual on-court impact? He's reached that level before without question.

I would take peak Manu in a playoff series 10 times out of 10 and I wouldn't think twice about it. And that's what matters. **** a regular season warrior.

Manu came into the league at 25 years old and by the time Tim Duncan had simmered down he was pushing or past 30. Also, I think it's clear prime Manu was never on a team where he could shoot as much as his heart desires like Harden has had since joining the Rockets. These two points I think one has to keep in mind (imagine if Harden had remained a 6th man in OKC, while at the same time coming to the NBA 3-4 years after he finished college instead of at 19 years old). Case in point, it wouldn't be surprising if young Manu could handle bigger minutes and bigger role on a more shallow team built around him like other SG's have done (Harden, Redd, Sprewell, Arenas, etc). Even on the Spurs he took over at times, on the Argentinian team he was MVP, so it's in his nature. As far as careers, give me Manu easily. He's a winner to the Nth degree and complete two-way player. Seems cut from a different cloth than Harden that's for sure.

Oh hell no. Not cosigning that at all, he's nowhere near the Kobes or Wades of the world. Whether we wanna go to some fantasy world where he plays huge minutes and has his own team or not. Love Manu but he's not that class of player.

Harden though? Give me peak Manu over Harden in the playoffs all day every day. Harden is just not as good as his numbers.

Anyway, I'll take Gino over Hard Hard because Gino is actually a really good playoff performer. Harden on the other hand has been dissapointing his last 3 series. The ones before those (vs Dallas and Spurs) he played well. Houston needs that kind of Harden.

I hear you but hard to compare. Ginobli was older when his career started and he was on a true team with a real coach who emphasized team ball. He was never asked or given the opportunity to jack that many shots like Harden.

I'll say this though, Ginobli beat team USA on the way to GOLD homie!

Ginobli has been down right filthy and clutch in the playoffs.

What has Harden done? He's having a great REGULAR season.

I think we've seen enough of them to realize that they are more different than similar. Harden is a pure offensive player with good passing skills. Manu is an all around player with actual solid defense and better passing skills. They're both lefties and that's it.

manu easily

he just knows how to win. everywhere he's been, he's had success. on the biggest stages, he brings it. he won his team the euro league chip. he led his national team to gold in the olympics. he's an intricate piece to the spurs (semi)dynasty and should have won a finals mvp.

what exactly has harden done? disappeared in the finals and flopped his way to good numbers.
