not with a roster of jason smith, jose calderon,travis wear,cole aldrich,alexey shved,louis amundson,andrea bargnani and amare stoudemire.Way too many bad players on that roster

if they ditch the triangle, Melo heals and their first rounder this year pans out quickly...yes.

They will grab at least one decent FA this offseason with all that cash.

I highly doubt that the Knicks will be anywhere near contending within the next decade or so, but I think that their best bet at attempting to be competitive for the next few seasons would be to draft Jahlil Okafor, and to make a run at signing Rajon Rondo and Greg Monroe this summer. Maybe even throw a little bit of money at Louis Williams or Gerald Green for some scoring off the bench (if Tim Hardaway Jr can't get it together).

Not exactly sure what their cap situation is like, but I know they'll have some money to throw around. I think they could be pretty solid with these moves and a healthy Melo next season.

Melo, THJ, Calderon, and Early at 32 mil are the only players they have to bring back next year. SO it is way too hard to tell. It all depends on what happens this offseason. What the Knicks have done this year has nothing to do with their future since most of their team is gone after this season.

Knicks are the new Clippers. They may have the brand (different than Clips, obviously) but Dolan is just as bad as an owner as Sterling and thus has no idea how to run a team. Knicks are gonna suck for a long time.
