no concept as to just how valuable a knock down shooter like Korver is. Just putting the ball in this guys hands during a possession is enough to break a defense. There is simply no stats available to show just how important it is but its an integral part of the hawks game. Keep defenses second guessing with a knockdown shooter allowing other players better shots.

Shame but he won't do it... Anyways, even if he did it "wouldn't count" as one needs 300 FG's, 55 3P's and 125 FT's in order to qualify as one of the league's leaders and he only has 103 FT's in 69 games, with 7 games to go.

Steve Kerr once hit those marks (with the shortened 3pt line) but didn't have enough 3P's so he doesn't qualify, for the 50/50/90 nor even for the 50/40/90 club.
