2 things

1. Hardens effective field goal % is actually pretty high -- much, much higher than the average 2 guard. EFG doesn't take free throws into account.
2. This is an interesting point you bring up, one that I've always had a problem with. My beef is, why should an official refusing to do the tough job he is paid to do, be held against a player? I understand that it is the way of the land..... But SHOULD it be par for the course? I don't think so, and there should be some reform there. I personally dont sympathize with a ref that decries the concept of making tough calls down the stretch. They're paid good money to do it. They should do it. Period. If theyre scared of getting crapped on, they should become ball boys instead.
