having a online degree is worse than not having one.

Lots of people get them. Probably not a bad idea for certain fields of business, marketing, administration, etc.

I'm taking an online course for the first time this semester and it's overwhelming. Our instructor overloads us with assignments, like every other day there is an assignment to do.
Doing an entire program online ONLY.....that's gotta be a pain in the ass.
I took a calculus and chemistry course online through a local community college, ended up taking them in person because they were a lot easier in person. In particular that calculus, the exams were ridiculous, a midterm had something like 20 difficult problems, in person it was only 13 problems that were much easier. For the amount of time they give you and no notes allowed, 20 would take me a long time
Plus, there was very little instruction online. I was basically studying the book by myself.
With the prices of a traditional college education going through the roof I think there will be more and more online offerings and they'll become more widely accepted by employers...
obviously there's lots that can't be taught over the internet, that you have to be present for or have access to equipment but there's lots that can be
