Why would you hand the keys to a playoff team to a man who's never been a coach?

Kerr's perfect for NY because you have PJax as a mentor and the team is rebuilding, there's a certain margin for error but there's no great basketball minds that can walk him through his first year as a head coach in Golden State and as we've just seen with Mark Jackson's firing obviously just making the playoffs isn't good enough for the Warriors front office

This doesn't make any sense. 51 wins, took the stacked Clippers to 7 games without Bogut, etc. What else could he have done?




I used to give him credit for turning the franchise around, but the more I think about it, the more I think the guy was kind of a hack. They got Iggy and Bogut, so of course their defense became elite. Those two guys had more to do with the culture change than Jackson imo.

He's basically Mike Brown, except he's a better motivator. Hell, he's probably overrated as a motivator too. Some guys loved him, but Bogut and Barnes didn't seem to care for him much. Steve Kerr seems like a more humble and likable guy.
