How can you have Lebron, magic and shaq above MJ when they have said themselves that MJ is the GOAT

If Wade would've won FMVP in 2011 then went on to still win in 12 & 13 it still wouldn't have effected my top 10. He'd be in the 15-18 range as opposed to 20-21 now. Lebron would actually be a spot or 2 higher because he'd have 3 rings and 2 fmvps.

Lol what? Wade is top 25 as it is now. If they won in 2011 with him getting FMVP then he'd be an undisputed top 20.

yes, I rate based on impact, not historic value or playing on stacked teams. Other players simply had more impact and could carry teams. I also don't have big O/baylor/west in my top 20 for the exact same reasons. Better options.

Dude won 5 MVP's, and had the awards existed back then would have had something like 7 Finals MVP's and 11 DPOY's

Would you put Dr J in your top 15

pippen was an elite player that was just overshadowed by a tier 1 player. No shame in that. Imagine dwade playing his entire life with lebron.
Pippen not being top 50 is just .

i've actually watched all the tape available for russell and sincerely:
how would he do in the 80s/90s/00s/10s with his inexistent offensive game? could he carry a non-stacked but good team to a ring a la hakeem/shaq? would he take over series like wade? would he be the basis of an offensive system like dirk/duncan? would he provide kg's versatility?
He was a great player in a great position, but his overall game isn't so inspiring. I don't care about MVPs and DPOYs, because they were won in a kindergarten league, with very few teams, with short series, on a stacked team, in a league with significantly less talent than the 80s/90s/etc, in a basketball that was still in its infancy.
Bottom line: My list is for the best players ever, not who performed better in a limited leagues.

without pippen's mother there would be no elite pippen.
But that is irrelevant because pippen WAS an elite player for a long time, and that's what matters.

if pippen's early years were spent playing with lebron instead of MJ, pippen would never have been elite.
jordan's off-ball game and superior leadership is what unleashed pippen - lebron's ball-dominance and beta would've held pippen down, like he's done with other players.

That's a hypothetical scenario, we will never know. Now stop making it look like it's a fact. Pippen put in the work and did what he had to do to be great. You do not need to push this crap because MJ is the unanimous GOAT in basketball discussions.

Look at how alpha that dude is. Could never see Lebron doing anything like that. Nothing would have held Pippen down. Dude was a natural born alpha that just so happened to play with the alpha of all alphas.

What's also underrated is Pippen's athleticism, dude was just about as much of an athletic freak as Jordan, minus his vertical.
He obviously benefited from having to defend MJ in practices, but he wouldn't have been who he was without his character and the work he put in to be great. We all saw how he could be a very elite player on his own without MJ, leading the Bulls to 55 wins. Pippen is a very underrated player IMO.

11. Larry Bird
12. Shaquille O'Neal
Lebron is the greatest SF in NBA History, I was surprised looking back at how talented the position was but how underachieving they were as well.
Hakeem's all-around career numbers are the greatest of any center in NBA History and has two impressive NBA Championship wins, I have him slightly over Shaq in terms of greatest NBA Centers.

Larry's been passed by Lebron.
I've already talked about Shaq. Adding to that is his overrated impact outside of the Lakers that included getting swept by Hakeem's role player filled Rockets during Jordan's first retirement. Shaq wasn't the best player until Jordan retired a second time in 1998 he kept that role for only a couple years until Tim Duncan hit his peak, and soon Kobe. Then his years of loathing and riding the coattails of star players from 2006-2011 doesn't improve his ranking at all.
