The Magic announcers are saying it can go either way for ROY if you "look at all the stats" and not just scoring. Come on fellas...

If Payton's first half of the season had been the same as his second half he'd have a case but his first half just wasn't good enough.

I'm a Payton fan, but he isn't getting the ROY. He's in the all-rookie 1st team but Wiggins is the ROY.

Michael Carter-Williams or Giannis Antetokounmpo?

In Milwaukee you have both, but that's not the point.

If you look at it that way though, Wiggins' stats improve very slightly, and then Mirotic's and Noel's stats also look significantly better.

Mirotic becomes like 18/7 on 43%, Noel becomes like 14/11 on 46%, Wiggins would be 19/5 on 45% and Payton becomes 14/6/9 on 47. Out of those Elfrid probably does have the best stat line, but that's for only the last 14 games for him. Part of being a rookie is how fast you get used to playing the league though, and performance over 82 games, which is why the statement by the announcers was a bit funny.
