Who are the best two legged chest-to-chest Dunkers in the half court in NBA History?

Here's the top 5

1. Shawn Kemp

2. LeBron James

3. Michael Jordan

4. Dr. J

5. Blake Griffin

Here's the most recent chest-to-chest dunk by LeBron, done last week on Jerami

Coordinated enough to win 3 in a stacked Eastern Conference. Coordinated enough to win 3 MVPs in a row when you have the likes of MJ, Barkley, Magic, and Wilkins in the league.

That wasn't a real chest to chest dunk, but Wilkins should be in the discussion.

Seriously?

As a LEBRON fan... you call Larry Bird a beta?

Really?

At least Legend contested the dunk by one of the baddest muhphuckas to ever do it. If Bron saw Dominique coming at him like that he'd run to a different team.

Amen. And it brings up something that should be a clear blot on Lebron's record (while being proof he doesn't contest shots like the above as much as he should): that despite his size and incredible athleticism, he's only averaged more than a block a game twice in his career, and that was 1.1.

An overrated defender really who's always had the good fortune to play on very good defensive teams (not that he couldn't be a great defender, but he's rarely been consistent about it).

Lebron has less than 10 two-foot posters in his entire career.

If this is not true, than post them - it's your thread and your claim that lebron is a good two-foot posterizer, so you should be willing to do this - just post the youtube's for expediency - you don't have to post the actual GIFs.

Jordan has hundreds of two-foot posters - he's the best two-foot posterizer for non-bigs and it's not remotely close.

What does that have to do with the fact Bron should be getting more than a block a game with his size and athleticism? He should be a serious factor in protecting the rim, and he never really was, certainly not consistently.

You post utter drivel and ignorance in here just as you do in OTC. I posted in the NBA forum long before i did in OTC btw. But yeah, this place is pretty boring these days because it's riddled with imbecile trolls and stans like yourself, who have made any kind of intelligent basketball discussion well-nigh impossible.

You need to go back to whatever inbred piece of shit family you come from.

Lebron? TWO legged jumps? Chest to chest? Bwahahaha

This is Carter, Nique and Jordan way above everyone else. Nique has as good/better chest to chest posters off a two foot gather than MJ, but Jordan has a huge edge in posters off a hop step (which is also a two-foot leap), so not sure on the order of MJ/Nique.

EDIT: Add Blake Griffin and pre-injury Amare

all true.. it's close between mj and dominique - dominique might have jordan, but i'd take either over vince because both had far greater volume due to superior strength/power (Nique) or skill (Jordan - MJ also had a power advantage, but not like dominique obv).

Just correcting a factual inaccuracy. I challenge you to produce even 10 chest to chest posters off a two-foot leap by Lebron. Because in a matter of an hour I can produce literally DOZENS for Jordan.

there's definitely a lot of PF's and Centers that have more dunks and posters than Jordan.

but barely any SF's - Dr. J and Dominique are the only SF's I can think of that match or exceed Jordan's dunk and poster frequency.. and only dominique can match or exceed MJ's two foot posters.

and obviously, among guards, MJ is the most prolific dunker and posterizer in history... by far

Shaq should be No. 1 on every list. Just about every dunk he ever completed was chest-to-chest with another 7-footer. He was a machine and never was the "chest-to-chest" dunk a more unstoppable -- really a signature -- move than it was with Shaq.

All that shows is someone who knows he doesn't jump as high as Wilkins trying to get as absolutely high as he can. To the point where he's not worrying about how he will land.

Actually, although Dominique was well known for two foot jumping, he could also get very high off one foot, although it's rarely seen. Here's a great double pump one foot dunk.

https://youtu.be/-4YXMKrkCJU?t=2537

Here's he throws down a monstrous one foot dunk with Dr. J defending.

https://youtu.be/-4YXMKrkCJU?t=1594

Speaking of Dr. J, he's one of those guys that everyone thinks of a only a one foot jumper, but actually like Jordan, Pippen, and even Charles Barkley, he was very great off two feet as well. Here's an extremely explosive two foot dunk when he was a 76er, and on this same video, there are multiple other great two foot dunks from him.

Harder for Bron to do chest-to-chest, as defenders tend to cower away in fear.

Two-footed dunks over defenders in general, though? In game?

Lebron is 2nd only to VC all-time, in RELATIVE terms maybe Nique is in there cause he had a far greater number of them in his career, dunking over less athletic players than today, but make no mistake, Nique could not deliver either of these dunks:

Nique will continue to be more associated with the two-footed poster than VC and Bron, cause it was his signature move, but the other two are simply more athletic and impressive.

Ok, so now that we've established that Lebron should be NOWHERE near the top of this list.....

I'd have to put Shaq and Nique at 1 and 2, any order.

How about Harold Miner? I know he didn't have many in-game posters but his dunk contest dunks were basically all off 2 feet and very powerful. Just trying to throw a different name out there.

You guys really think Lebron's 2-foot leaping holds a candle to MJ's???... Y'all dumb as hell

Lebron needs ROOM so he can generate momentum and take off, whereas Jordan had elite hops IN TRAFFIC... No comparison

Bron is primarily a one footed leaper that needs a head of steam so what is OP smoking?

Check out the 2nd dunk on Alonzo. See how high he got. He had to seriously hold back his arms and probably could've hit his elbow on the rim if he didn't hold back.

When MJ had a head of steam and was able to gather and jump off two feet, he was unstoppable. And his transition from the gather to explosion was so quick.

Jesus Christ that first dunk is so beautiful. Poetry in motion.

Jordan is the GOAT in-game dunker, but I still prefer his acrobatic layups.

Yeah, a guard dunking like Shaq on bigmen
Thought I'd seen every MJ dunk but this one was new to me, and a great one at that
