Disappointed? Sure. But they played their hearts out. I said in the game thread in the first half when the guy jumped back in from out of bounds and got a gimme lay up, I knew something was up.

Then they had the missed shot clock call. And the most prolific foul shooting team in the country got out shot from the line 22-10, and didn't even get into the BONUS u til 19:30 had gone by in the second half. Let that sink in for a second.

Despite all that, they had a chance to win, and didn't execute down the stretch. Kentucky beat themselves, like coach Cal warned them they would. He said it all season, and lo and behold it came to fruition.

Regardless, this is probably my favorite UK team ever, and WCS may be my favorite player ever, dethroning Patrick Patterson and John Wall.

It was a great season. They won 38 games in a row. As a Kentucky fan, all I can ask is that they be in the discussion for a title every year. They are.

Plus, I'm up a little over $900 tonight, so it could be worse. I'm sure I'll be way more pissed off tomorrow then I am now, but, there's always next season. UK will reload and make another run again, as always.

This Wisconsin team is historically good at not getting called for fouls. Check the stats. Can't remember where I saw it before our game with them, but I do mean historically good. Should be an interesting Finals because duke always gets calls at an unreal level. Something is going to give.

They also have the best ortg in the OAD era. Doing it at 6th slowest pace in the country. With upperclassmen... With deep tournament experience... With the NPOY and an NBA talent playing out of his mind right now. That's a freaky good combination of crap going their way.

You want to talk about an alltime great team, statistically this Wisconsin team is up there in the modern era.

UK Got some bullshat. That dude did jump from out of bounds early, but that's a hype call. UK got some hype fouls. That charge was stupid on Wisconsin.

That slap absolutely should have been a flagrant. The fact they were like NOCALL was mind-blowing. And yea it was a shot clock violation, but I said oh well it's even in regards to that and the flagrant.

Kentucky lost because they lost. It was kind of a weird game in general, but coming down the stretch it was winnable by either side.

I really don't think that game was called poorly. That's how I wanna see it. I wanna see shit let go opposed to what happened in the previous game, where it goes like 30 minutes longer than you expect because they are shooting 30 FTs.


Edit: @ UK, I dunno man it could have been a tech or something. It seemed pretty intentional. Why would his hands be that high? Watch the video. He slapped him. It wasn't a hard punch, an elbow, etc, but he did slap him. In college they do call that shit flagrant.

The refs WERE the reason UK wasn't in the bonus until 30 seconds left in the game. All those fouls at the end, could have been free throws instead of throw ins. Where Wisconsin was shooting the bonus in the last few minutes, Kentucky was just inbounding the ball.

Like I said, it was officiated poorly both ways.

But Wisconsin was a good team, a balanced team, with a great coach.

I only saw the TV replays and looked like the ball had already come down and had bounced out of bounds, then a second or so after is when hand made contact to the face.
