* Blocked stats are collected from archive newspapers articles (as most of the data), NBA doesn't kept track of blocked shots before 1973/74 season. I find in the forum info about Wilt blocked 8 shots in game 1 of 1971/72 regular season, but I was not able to find evidence in google news archive search,so again I do not post it.

Wilt dominated a younger Kareem, but Kareem just flat out destroyed him since 71.

Wilt dominated a younger Kareem, but Kareem just flat out destroyed him since 71.

In the ONLY game in which a pre-knee-surgery Wilt faced a young Alcindor, he wiped the floor with him. And, a 34 year old Wilt, again, post-surgery, in 10 straight H2Hs with a PEAK Kareem, battled him to a statistical draw. In fact, in the five game WCF's, Chamberlain outplayed Kareem in three of their four H2H's, with the other being a draw.

Granted, in their five regular season H2H's in the '71-72 season, Kareem badly outplayed Wilt...albeit, Chamberlain's Lakers went 4-1 in those games. And, in the games in which Kareem scored a ton, his Bucks were wiped out.

In the 71-72 WCF's, while Kareem badly outscored Wilt, Chamberlain was UNIVERSALLY hailed as outplaying Kareem in that series. Time Magazine went so far as to claim that a 35 year old Wilt "DECISIVELY OUTPLAYED" a 25 year old Kareem.

BTW, here was Kareem's regular season H2H's, and post-season H2H's in terms of FG%, in each season.

1969-70 Regular season H2H. Kareem shot .518 against the NBA. Against Wilt... .429.

1970-71 Regular season H2H's. Kareem shot .577 against the NBA. Against Wilt... .438.

1970-71 WCF's. Kareem shot .481 against Wilt.

1971-72 Regular season H2H's. Against the NBA... .574. Against Wilt... .500.

1971-72 WCF's. Kareem shot .457 against Wilt, including .414 in the last four games of that series.

1972-73 Regular season H2H's. Against the NBA...Kareem shot .554. Against Wilt... .450.

Overall, in their LAST TEN STRAIGHT H2H's...Kareem shot ... .434 against Wilt.

Too bad we didn't get to a see PRIME Chamberlain...circa 66-68...go H2H with a prime Kareem.
