Considering the Roster that Cleveland very few playoff appearances if any, Kobe doesn't influence the game enough to make a completely shit team playoff bound. Not many people do.

Hed been even better. In Cleveland theres literally nothing to do but play/watch sports or do drugs

Kobe had too much fun in LA dammit **** you Cali for robbing us of a better Jordan

I mean shit look at Mj aint shit to do in Chicago but work or get shot so he was in the gym 24/7 or making bread with advertisments. Theres a reason hes in North Carolina now and went to the Wizards

Yeah, like how he took that crap team with Smush Parker, Kwame Brown, Brian Cook, Luke Walton, Chris Mihm, etc to the playoffs and pushed the powerhouse Suns to a Game 7, right?

Are we really discussing whether young Kobe could make the playoffs or not....in the East?:hammerhead:

Kobe would cakewalk to the finals every year.

Kobe has been a coin flip to win the title every year he's been surrounded with a good defensive team. :confusedshrug:

- would he come to Cleveland with Big Z putting up 15 - 17ppg and 8 - 10 rbs??? Just like Gasol ?

if so....Cleveland = Finals lock.....Kobe and Big Z would have been a great duo.

Impossible to answer.

1. It is likely Kobe would have demanded a trade upon being drafted.

2. If that didn't work, Kobe likely would have demanded a trade after his first two or three seasons in Cleveland

But if he didn't do that, Cleveland would likely be a somewhat decent team. Maybe making the 2nd and 3rd round of the playoffs some of their best years.

Cavs put some very defensive minded teams around Lebron which is exactly what Kobe needs.

He'd win at least one.

Cone
04-06-2015, 05:22 PM
Kobe would quit way before LeBron did.

To answer the OP, he'd win nothing. Kobe has been surrounded by elite bigs his whole career.. he needs great teammates to win..

LeBron is the better player, and does a better job carrying a team. So Kobe wont do any better than LeBron

cavs with kobe = playoffs every year, with 1 ring minimum.. 05-09 kobe was possessed, man was on a mission.

Most likely demands a trade right off the bat, but in the event he doesn't, assuming no other changes happen and we go by the same depth charts, sans LeBran of course.

00/01:
Andre Miller - Kobe - Lamond Murray - Clarence Weatherspoon - Big Z
Person - Langdon - Jackson - Harpring - Gaiting - Traylor - Mihm

Would probably win another dozen or so games, get into the playoffs with ease.

01/02:
Miller - Kobe - Murray - Tyrone Hill - Z
Stith - Person - Ricky Davis - Jumaine Jones - Doleac - Skinner - Mihm

Same squad, more bench scoring. Better D.

02/03:
Miller - Kobe - R. Davis - Boozer - Big Z
Palacio - Smush - Wagner - Jones - Hill - Diop - Miles

Would've made some noise.

You can do the rest of the years. Not wasting more time on this.

So Kobe's getting drafted in '03? Definitely misses the playoffs his first two years, and advances at best to the ECF in '06. '08-'10 he doesn't make the Finals, considering he lost to the '08 Celtics and barely beat the '10 Celtics with FAR superior teams than LeBron had. Don't see how he wins in '09 when LeBron's 39/8/8 wasn't enough to beat the Magic. '07 would be his best shot at a title, weakest competition in the East and the team he always beasts against in the Spurs waiting in the Finals. I'd prob say no to a title in '07, but I'd definitely give him a solid chance. Best case scenario, 1 ring in 7 years

Kobe at 22 averaged 33/7/6 on 50% through the WC playoffs, overall playoffs of 29/7/6 on 47% FG, 56% TS

25/8/6/1/1 on 42% in the finals including 27/9/6 on 44% in the last 4 games..

Lebron at 22 averaged 25/8/8 on 42% FG overall through the playoffs on 52% TS

22/7/7/ on 36% in the finals, Cavs lost the last two games by a combined 4 points..

01 Kobe against the Spurs.. 33/7/7 on 52% FG

Impossible for Kobe to beat the Pistons by himself in 2007, like literally impossible, like the same chance of Lakers winning the championship this season impossible.

Kobe would've morphed larry hugh es into a rich mans scottie pippen and they would have one three peat together 07 to 09 and after signing chris bosh in summer 2010 they would complete the first fourpeat in 50 years since bill russel. And it's not even close.

4 Final appearances, 2 wins, 2 loses - 10+ years w/ Cavs.

1-1 if bolting to another team.

N1g9s trying to equate 05-07 Laker trash to the Cavs squads...lmao...

Just mention the names on that Laker roster 05-07, look yourself in the mirror and spit on it in disgust. Kobe don't care about Spurs trash... Duncan be his b1tch in the playoffs all his life...Nuggets? Lmao... Dirk Mavs? Perhaps... Suns? with a defensive oriented Cav squad? Sorry Nash...

Biggest thing would be 08-10 Celtics... getting to play them as your conference rivals often gives the team more of a familiarity. 1-3, or 2-1.

He wouldnt have 5 titles.. but he would have given the city of cleveland atleast 2-3 by now

Kobes toughness on everyone would have made them all play better

Lebron buries other peoples careers... players get better when theyre with kobe

Also the cavs would have had a much better coach since phil fallowed kobe in 2006 and said he was the only reason he came back

DMAVS41
06-19-2015, 02:28 PM
How are we doing it? Like replace rookie Lebron with rookie Kobe? If so...

Rookie - misses playoffs
2nd year - misses playoffs
3rd year - misses playoffs / loses in round 1
4th year - loses to Pistons in whichever round they play
5th year - loses to Celtics in whichever round they play
6th year - loses to Magic in whichever round they play
7th year - loses to Celtics in whichever round they play
12th year - makes the finals and loses to the Warriors (better chance to upset Warriors with Kobe, imo, than with Lebron)

Obviously we have no clue what would happen in those missing 4 years. If Kobe gets legit help...he's making the finals and vying for titles those years.
