Kawhi's footspeed is good for a forward, but not for a guard - the quickness mismatch leads to a guard like MJ repeatedly blowing by a much better defender in prime Garnett (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=embqhggoep4) (when they were matched up as SF's and went heads-up all night, including in the GIF above).

The quickness mismatch prevents coaches from putting forwards on guards in clutch situations or extended situations.
