He's averaging 11.4 ppg, 14.9 rpg, and 2.2 bpg. That's like Prime Ben Wallace and Marcus Camby numbers.

Impact and numbers are different things. He isnt close to the defender as Camby let alone Big Ben

He shouldnt be on a team either i can name many frontcourt players better. If its just going by center he has no case over Cousins, Marc or Vucevic

So what? The main reason for that is they have the best player in the league this season and its not Deandre.
You think KG didnt deserve all AllNBA team in 05 or 07?

His defensive impact is no where near Big Ben's. He might make the 3rd team though.

I definitely giggled when he tried to compare him to Big Ben. A lot of big men who block a lot of shots, but don't have close to the defensive impact as their forbears these days: Jordan, Ibaka, Davis. They are a joke compared to the great defenders at PF/C that came before them just in the last 10 or so years. (Wallace, Howard, Sheed, Garnett, Duncan)

Eh, I agree with Jordan and Ibaka, but Davis has all time great great defensive potential. He is already a very good defender.

Agreed. Most young big focus on just getting blocks rather than playing smart defense and anchor the interior D.

But his defense isn't nearly as good as the reputation he gets.
