Slowly surpassing Melo as the third best SF
Lebron
KD
Leonard
Melo
George
The big 5 SF's
Kawhi would be a 20 PPG+ on any other team
Maybe a 25ppg guy at his peak? who knows but he has shown great shooting and a good post game... Also a crafty driver to the rack... Not quite Dwyane wade crafty but he finds room to get his attempts off

Indiana could have had this guy and Paul George defending the perimeter...

He's a max contract guy at this point. I can't imagine The Spurs talking him into taking less. Someone will offer him a non-home team max offer.

Absurd. In the past two seasons he's scored 20+ points 28 times.
In that span Duncan has done it 30 times (and he has PPG averages of 15 and 14 in those two seasons).
Kawhi has clearly established himself as a top 15 player, closer to the top 10 (he's in my top 10). He's the best perimeter defender in the league and steadily improving, but there's no chance little chance he''d 20 PPG on another team, much less 25 PPG at his peak (Garnett has never averaged 25 PPG and Duncan did it once, only three players in the league right now are doing it).

He's had 20 of those in this season out of 59 games, and he's only playing 31.6 mpg.
Put him let's say in Chicago in place of Jimmy Butler, does he not have the tools to average 20 ppg?

What has Melo done lately to be branded as 3rd best?

If the Spurs can get an adequate replacement for Duncan, Leonard can make this team a playoff team for a long time.

Where are they gonna get a replacement much less at that price? Any decent big is gonna demand $$$$ and not want to play in SA.

Gasol is their #1 target but that's a longshot obviously. But they will have some money when Ginobili and Duncan retire. If they can get a 15/10 guy with decent defense they could be solid. I'm not saying they will be contenders like they are now.

They need to sign Monroe this summer so he be able to play one or two season with Duncan as his mentor

Pau Gasol was better than Leonard

The scary thing about Leonard is that he plays so in control. I don't think we've seen his offensive potential yet.

At 1.58 that Palm pickup of the ball followed by a little flick pass is something very special
Kid is turning out to one of the most influential players in the game.. Still dam young too

He's 23.
He's going to be Top 3 in the league at one point, see how far he can push it.
The Spurs better offer him 5 years at least
