Mutombo opens the door for Ben Wallace a bit. And good to see jojo finally make it. Im not gonna act like its a travesty or anything but...people dont even know that guy existed and hes like a 7 time all star, an all nba teamer, and a finals MVP. He gets other guy status because of Hondo and Cowens being on his team.

Jo Jo I think should have been in. It is a travesty.

You look at the other guards in his era in.
He has the same all star appearances as Clyde Frazier and Dave Bing and more than the following HoFers.

Calvin Murphy = 1 all star
Earl Monroe = 4 all star
Pistol Pete = 5 all star
Gail Goodrich = 5 all star
Tiny Archibald = 6 all star

Mutombo is getting in more due to his humanitarian work outside the NBA IMO.

Wow. We might see Ben Wallace soon if that's the case. :applause:

Or maybe because his 4 DPOY awards, 8 all star games, multiple All NBA Teams and All Defensive teams, all time blocks leader and an important part of a Finals run. That might also have something to do with it.

I'm happy about this.

Nice to see Jojo White in the hall of fame. He was a former NBA Finals MVP.

I wish there would be a year when they don't put anyone into the Hall of Fame. It seems like they feel like they have to put someone in even if not totally deserving. Those guys were very very good players. Haywood had some great seasons, especially his first 5 seasons. Excellent career overall. White was a 7 time All Star and big contributor to the Celtic's 70's championships.

I wanna say 2005, no player was elected in. Just coaches. And there have been plenty years where one player is elected. It's all on the voters. No one could go in at any given year. Hell, in 2001, onlt three people elected.

With Richmond getting in, you'd think Sid would be getting his shot soon. When is he up again?

Still no love for Sidney Moncrief? Congrats, to Mutomob, Spenser Haywood, and JoJo. But come on now, Sidney Moncrief, Jack Skima, Buck Williams, Marques Johnson, Walter Davis, just to name a few. Those are some great NBA players that are not in the HOF and it is shameful.

Haywood was like the 4th best player on that Wizards team. I always though Arenas, Jamison and Butler would make it first.

Out of those guys you listed, besides Moncrief I think Sikma and Marques have the best shot to make the Hall (Sids teammates.)

Bob Dandridge probably deserves it over all of them minus Sidney.
