With most teams having 5 or 6 games remaining the only teams in a definite spot are GS at one and Dallas pretty sure at seven.
Golden State-- 63 14
Houston------- 53 24
Memphis------ 52 25
Portland------ 50 26
L.A. Clippers-- 52 26
San Antonio--- 51 26
Dallas--------- 46 31
Oklahoma City 42 35
New Orleans-- 41 35
Golden State and Dallas aren't really fighting for much. Dallas has to win at least a game or two but should do so easily.
Nobody really has a hard schedule but the internal big games are:
Grizz/Clippers.
Pelicans/Grizz on Wednesday
Pelicans/Rockets
Rockets/Spurs
Spurs/Rockets
Spurs/Thunder
Blazers/Thunder
By Schedule
Spurs have the toughest schedule.
Rockets are second. Pelican's third
Pelican's fourth
Easiest
While the Trailblazers have GS (meaningless games for GS and Dallas)
The Clippers who are not the most steadiest of teams have the second easiest schecule
By experience
Spurs are by far the most experienced team and can win out if they choose to. They are used to big games. There is likely to be a rest game in there as well. They still have the possibility of moving up to the second spot because of the two games against the Rockets, but need Memphis to falter too. And the Clippers only have 4 games left with 3 at home.
What are predictions.
1. GS
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.Dallas
8.

1. Golden State 67-15
2. San Antonio 56-26
3. Houston 56-26
4. Memphis 55-27
5. LAC 55-27
6. Portland 53-29
7. Dallas 50-32
8. OKC 45-37
New Orleans 42-42. They play GS, @ Mem, PHX, @ Hous, @ Min, SA. They're fvcked.

I'd say the blazers are a lock for 4th as well, since they won the division
But assuming the spurs and rockets each take one game in that series, I think it'll end up being
Golden State
Houston
LAC
Portland
San Antonio
Memphis
Dallas
OKC

SA will decide everything.
If they get in the 4 or 5 seed they will beat GS in the second round.
The wild cards to take the conference are experienced healthy teams like Memphis and the Clippers would also be in different brackets. Memphis is likely to get the second seed with a little help from Houston who has to win one of those games against SA to avoid the six seed. If SA loses one game its like this. If they win out they are the division head.
I got
GS
Memphis
Portland - div head
Clippers
Houston
San Ant
Dallas

I have Houston as a casualty because Pop really knows the value of these games and is on a roll. Should they win one of the games it does rattle the order some. Meaning that SA would stay where they are. And that Houston would likely stay at two.

If San Antonio wins out, they're likely the 2 seed. The only way they don't win the division is if Memphis also wins out which is unlikely as Memphis has played like garbage lately and still has to play @ LAC @ Golden State back to back

If Clippers win out they have a better conference record than SA too.
SA's conference record will lose out in almost every scenario. A lot of these teams have played to a 2-2 season battle with each other. Memphis can lose a game with SA winning out and still be ahead of them.

they would still get the auto top 4 seed from winning the southwest.

True, but they are so close to the 4/5 matchup would that matter. SA is so experienced that it doesn't matter much. It means a lot for Houston/Portland and Dallas for matchup reasons.
SA won't have a problem with GS in the second round. But could have problems Memphis and the Clippers. I don't know how Houston is adjusting to DH and missing their PG.

More I think about this, more I want to see the Clippers snag third with Memphis dropping to sixth, get a tough one out of the way, and if we beat them, get the winner of Houston/Dallas. Though, that's a longshot.
As long as we can get HCA for the first round, I'd be content. Just want to avoid San Antonio being in our bracket at all costs.

The Western Conference Nightmare. Damn, what an easy path to the Conference Finals it would be having to go through teams like Brooklyn, Washington, or Toronto. What a ****ing joke

Clippers' remaining schedule is cake and they've been on fire as of recent. I'd be pretty confident of getting a few rounds of having homecourt if I were a Clips fan.

@ PhoenixYou're forgetting that Doc will probably sit their starting lineup in the last couple of games. He foolishly did it last year even when the Clippers had a small chance of getting the 2nd seed ahead of OKC.
Clippers need to either get the 2nd, 3rd or 6th seed. They would have a very small chance of getting to the conference finals as the 5th seed. Getting the 2nd seed is unlikely but would be amazing if it happened.

West is stacked, but at least all the team's aren't 50+ wins like previous years. Pelicans v GS will be interesting if they get the 8th seed

The EC needs to be disqualified.
Imagine the Cavs going up against SA, LAC, GS to win a title.

They can drop that low with one loss. And they are weird like that. But Memphis has been losing as of late so I don't think they will lose
that game.

Clips have to avoid playing both GSW & SAS... ideally they'll get to 2 seed, Houston will drop to 3, Spurs get to 4 and Mem drop to 6.

Idk why people are acting like the Spurs beating Golden state is a given. With both teams at full health id take Gsw in 6.

Its hard to come out of nowhere and beat an experienced team that knows how to win. Not impossible but hard.

Let's go Jazz.
With a Utah win and a Clips win tomorrow, we'll wrap up the 2nd or 3rd seed.
Though, if Memphis and San Antonio are in the same bracket, rather get 5th, HC vs Portland and then GSW.

Won't the Spurs likely get the 2 seed?
I mean...the Grizzlies are likely to lose again to the Warriors on Monday and the Spurs probably won't lose.
They'd then win the division and wouldn't that give them the 2 seed over the Clippers?

Rockets, just win this damn Pelicans game. We need to knock the Pelicans out of the playoffs, and get back into a tie for the 2nd seed (although the Spurs and, I think, the Grizz both have tiebreakers over the Rockets).

As of Sunday these are the west 1st round matchups:
1. Golden State vs. 8. New Orleans
4. Portland vs. 5. Memphis (Memphis has home court)
2. San Antonio vs. 7. Dallas
3. LA Clippers vs. 6. Houston
With 3 days left in the regular season, these are the west games that could shake things up in the playoff race:
Monday - Houston/Charlotte, New Orleans/Minnesota, Portland/OKC, Memphis/Golden State, LA Clippers/Denver
Tuesday - LA Clippers/Phoenix
Wednesday - Houston/Utah, OKC/Minnesota, San Antonio/New Orleans, Memphis/Indiana
Golden State is locked at 1, Portland is locked at 4, Dallas is locked at 7, so 2, 3, 5, 6, 8 are still up for grabs.
