Pretty damn embarrassing. They have a sub-.500 record even in games featuring both Wade and Bosh. Bosh went down, but they still got more than enough games from Whiteside and Dragic, 2 damn solid players, to make the playoffs. 2 teams who're going to be well below .500 are going to end up making the playoffs in the East. Miami has no excuses, really. There's no reason for them to not make it, even factoring in injuries. Still a few games left though....

wade's health should not be used as an excuse given that it has been this way for some time now. wade has already played more games this year than he did last year. this miami team was never going to be 40+ win team no matter what happened outside of a miracle where wade was healthy for 80 games.

If this team had a better coach they would probably still be a playoff team despite their injury woes. They still have Dragic, Wade, and Whiteside which should be good enough to at least get into the playoffs in the weak East.

I've never been a fan of Spoelstra though, as I think he's an awful coach.

With that said though...this team has been absolutely RAVAGED by injuries. It's just crazy how many players went down for them this year. This team should be awesome next year though once everyone gets healthy. Pat Riley did a great job bringing in talent to surround Wade & Bosh, they just need to stay healthy.

Are you a retard or something? You think an NBA team trying to find a new identity post-Lebron can just shuffle around players and maintain continuity, keep playing well with over 30 different starting line-ups? What a load of bullshit. They haven't been able to form a remotely consistent rotation all season, and the team is filled with d-leaguers.

Wade has almost been the healthiest player on the Heat this season, and that tells you all you need to know about Miami's health. Whiteside has played meaningful minutes in less than half of the season and Dragic just got here (and has had clear back problems since his first 5 games).

At this point Miami has no hope of being healthy enough to do anything in the playoffs (Deng likely out or gimpy too), and they'd be better off getting a top 10 pick to compensate for what has been a very unfortunate season

Injuries, new players or whatever you say can be an excuse for not making the ECF or something like that. But team with Wade, Bosh for half season, Dragic for other half, Whiteside, Deng, and very good bench...
I mean come on, it would be a great failure if they miss the playoffs, and it just shows what a great impact Lebron has wherever he goes.
And yeah, Spoelstra is getting exposed big time. Lebron was the real coach of that team.

Bosh, Whiteside and Wade only played 80 minutes together all season, and when they did, they blitzed the Clippers and Bulls. Deng has been garbage for over a month because he is injured (and now likely out for the season): 12ppg on 43% shooting in March, 11 on 35% shooting in April, and he's had 1 good game in the last month and a half. Dragic has had his own injury problems (back) and is adjusting to playing for a new team, and often different teammates each night (due to injuries). Whiteside (22mpg, 44 games) and Birdman have also been injured recently, leaving Miami to start Walker and Haslem in the front court. Why should they even care about the playoffs when the team is in no condition to compete once they get there? Half the team is out injured, or on their last legs. Miami have been playing four d-league players and 2 below average rookies meaningful minutes. Get that into that incredibly dim head of yours.

What the **** are you talking about, really? 'Very good bench' - , get real chump.

the people saying the heat were 22-30 in the first half with wade and bosh healthy dont know what they're talking about.

wade and bosh didnt miss a crap ton of games but they were hardly ever healthy at the same time. wade misses 7 games, comes back and plays a few. bosh goes down for 8 games, comes back for a few. wade goes down again for another 7 or so games. mcroberts missed the first few weeks. plays for about a month or so, then has an season ending injury.

2nd half of the season, the heat discovered whiteside. wade and bosh are healthy at the same time. things starting to look up. then bosh has life threatening illness. whiteside, for some reason, only gets limited pt. deng is starting to wear down and misses random games. same with birdman. the heat got dragic and things were looking up again, but even he has hit the injury bug. whiteside has gone down with random injuries and has missed games because he's simply an idiot. as of a few weeks ago, the heat had something like 28 different starting lineups this season. hard to build any team cohesion like that.

ever heard of james ennis, henry walker, tyler johnson? they were called up from the d-league, signed 10 day contracts and have started for the heat. they were desperate enough to give beasley a third chance.

with all that said, the heat should still make the playoffs. spo is a horrible coach.

At this point they should probably tank the rest of the season. Even if they made the playoffs this year, they would get swept right out of the first round anyway with all the injuries they've had to sustain.

They need to take a shot at landing Dekker, Kaminsky, or Mario Hezonja. I think they'll be able to find a decent rookie contributor for next year with that 10th pick.

They were pretty bad before the injury to Bosh too.

And Wade's injuries don't count anymore, since he has been on-and-off injured for the past 4 years now and this is the same Wade that Lebron had. Actually no wait, Wade has been healthier this year than in the past few years.

And they also had a pretty good SF to step in for Lebron in Luol Deng, and he played pretty much up to his standards, and they still were terrible.

It's not just Wade who's injured, idiot. Bosh, Whiteside, Haslem, Andersen, Dragic, Deng, etc. all have missed significant time. Miami was playing with Haslem and Walker (who is 6'5") starting in the FC and with literally no C's. Bosh, Wade, and Whiteside played VERY few minutes together (less than 100).

It's not just Wade who's injured, idiot. Bosh, Whiteside, Haslem, Andersen, Dragic, Deng, etc. all have missed significant time. Miami was playing with Haslem and Walker (who is 6'5") starting in the FC and with literally no C's. Bosh, Wade, and Whiteside played VERY few minutes together (less than 100).

typical reply from a wade fan.

last week, when wade was healthy (lol), just after the 40pt game vs detroit, there were posters bumping the, "wade training with grover again" thread. now, all of the sudden, wade is injured.....yet again? miami has enough players and health to compete for a playoff seed. they've just been taking bad L's, like the game @ detroit a couple days ago.

whiteside & dragic have practically played every game, btw. no excuses.

Good god, you're beyond retarded. Whiteside missed 18 games after being signed by the Heat. He player 44 games (out of 77) as a member of the team. Oh, and he's averaging 23 MPG, so let's not act like he's an All-NBA and DPOY level C.

Dragic played 22 games with the Heat.

Since you seem to be clinically retarded, I'll made it simple.

Whiteside - 44 GP
Dragic - 22 GP
Andersen - 56 GP
Bosh - 44 GP
UD - 51 GP
Deng - 68 GP

Wade + Bosh + Whiteside = >100 minutes together.

Johnson, Wlaker, etc. = D-League players

Now tell me how this team is supposed to win games?

Whiteside emerged later in the season and has been in and out with injuries all year.. ankle hand cut that keeps reopening Etc he single handedly lost my fantasy team a W with how inconsistent he was being on the court

Dragic a top player at his position lol.. He's not even a top 10 point guard.. He's a good player but it'd be like having brook Lopez in the mid 90s.. stand alone he's nice but in an era stacked at his position not even above average much less top anything

lol @ this idiot

you seriously don't think i know dragic was just traded to miami? he's one of my favorite players. you're missing my point.

since these 2 have gotten minutes (whiteside, by chance, got minutes and became a regular in the rotation), they've played literally all their games with miami.

so once again, how have they not played enough games/minutes with wade? they recently dropped 6 or 7 of their last 12, right? took them out the 8th seed which is completely unacceptable for a guy who's "the best sg" or "second best sg".

Whiteside - 44 GP
Dragic - 22 GP

:oldlol:

more than enough games to clinch an 8th seed in a WEAK conference

Miami went 2-7 in their last 9. Whiteside missed 3 of those games and had a lacerated hand in 3 of those. Haslem and Walker were the starting FC players for the Heat. At 6'9" and 6'5". How many games should they have won with that Midget lineup?

Birman missed 4 of those games as well, BTW.

Wade + Bosh + Whiteside playing >100 minutes the ENTIRE season is enough to clinch a seed?

:facepalm

Let me make it even simpler for you.

Bosh - Out for the season
McBob - Out for the season
Whiteside - Inconsistent and played ~40 games
Dragic - Decent player and nothing more. Player 22 games
Haslem - Basically done and is the starting C (when WS and CA are not playing)
Rio - Sub 30% shooting from the 3 and generally sucks ass
Walker - D-League player
Johnson - D-League player
Ennis - D-League player

I think I realize now why Heat fans love D-Wade so much - he gets injured so often that he provides a permanent excuse for why the team consistently underperforms.

Or maybe because he helped up win more rings than your franchise in almost 30 fewer years?

Lebron is the MVP

Lebron leaves
Miami adds Dragic, Deng, Whiteside yet still misses the playoffs

Imagine how bad last year's Miami team would have been minus Lebron. Probably a lottery team.

I don't know whether you've simply ignored everything that's been written in thread or if you are actually this retarded. The drivel quoted above has already all been shown to be false nonsense at least 3 times in this thread. You'd do better not to incessantly repeat bullshit like some wind-up doll.
You are trying too hard to downplay Lebrons impact.
The only thing you should know is:
2010 cavs 66 wins
Lebron leaves
2011 cavs one of the longest losing streaks in history of the game

2011-2014 Heat - 4 finals/2 rings
Lebron leaves (Heat add dragic, whiteside, deng)
2015 Heat miss the playoffs.

And yeah, one more thing you should have known already... nobody takes you seriously fool.

That's why I made that face, he must be REAL stupid to think the 14 heat without LeBron would be a lottery team:coleman:. Next time pay attention and stupid hating so damn much kid:no:

Lol wade has been hobbled the past 2 years, and now that LeBron is gone and he has to do more, they were expecting his health to return and play 80 games with great health. What kind of logic is that? Hes gonna end up playing over 60 games with the best health he has had in 3 years. His health this year has exceeded expectations so there's no way you can use his health as an excuse.

LeBron haters mentioning heat injuries this year, but no mention of them over the past 3 years. Just admit that LeBron's impact on the heat was underrated. No other perimeter player in history wins with those 2012-2013 heat teams.

^^^^^Was making the argument at the end of 2014 season that the Heat were the most stacked team of all time relative to competition.

Now all of a sudden realizes that Miami may not have been so great.

Of course, he now believes that Cleveland is stacked.

Pray tell, if Lebron goes to Philly next year will Philly suddenly have a stacked roster?

We don't have an excuse.

Just like Bron didn't when he couldn't have a winning record with Love and Irving at one point. He needed more help. He needed Shumpert, one of the best wing defenders in the league, Smith who is a 6th man candidate almost every season and former winner, and Mozgov to even sniff a winning record.

I wish the Heat had as much help. Oh well.
