Mike Brown is nothing. Just not a good coach all around.

D'Antoni was an offensive mind who has led multiple top offenses and taught the likes of Alvin Gentry who has also lead multiple offenses.
Gave no fvcks about defense. His downfall.

What is this shit? D'Antoni was a visionary. Comparing him to Mike Brown is insulting.

D'Antoni isn't the greatest coach in the world, but give him the right team and he'll have those guys firing on all cylinders.

Definitely gonna have to take Mike in this one, no doubt about it. Mike has proven himself to be the far better coach.

One changed the game. The other failed with Lebron and Kobe.

Mike D'Antoni helped change the game in terms of spacing and pace.

Mike Brown has always been an alright defensive coach, he doesn't know how to run an offense though (part of the fault goes to Lebron for not letting Brown call plays)

both are terrible.

but I think D'Antoni would be great assistant coach

Mike D'Antoni. current offense in nba which would work in any era is pretty much a product of dantoni with small changes thrown in by different coaches. i am not kidding. put his suns team in any era and they would wreck the league on offense.
thibs on defense and dantoni on offense have been visionaries.

I agree with this. D'Antoni can't coach bigs or defense, but knows how to run an uptempo style offense. Can't really say much about Brown to be honest. D'Antoni could at least complement a defensive minded head coach like Thibodeau or Rivers.

They would be great as co-head coaches, MDA coaches offence and Brown coaches defence.

To pick one as a head coach, I wouldn't pick either.
But I would take them both as assistants.

Both exposed Kobe as a fraud that can't win anything without Phil Jackson. Dantoni is much better though.

PS this if my 1st post after about 2 years on consistent lurking. I kept missing chances at registration but now I'm finally here

I'm definitely going with MDA, he wasn't the best man for the Lakers but I can't deny he's a genius offensive mind.

I hate Lebron as much as the next guy but this isn't actually his fault. Mike Brown is a terrible offensive coach, his sets are Scott Brooks like, he proved that on the Lakers as well
