I have no idea what "race" I am other than human race. First off, my family is from Mexico, my great grandparents on my dad's side were original Tejanos, most were from Spanish ancestry according to what l've read. Physically, both were fair skinned, their daughter, my grandma, was fair skinned with curly hair. Her husband, my grandpa was pretty dark, Native looking. My dad was fair skinned, kind of Mediterranean looking. My great grandparents on my mom's side were Spanish, my mom was white with dark blonde hair and blue eyes. Me, I've been asked before if I'm Chinese, lol. My eyes have a bit of that slanted look (I hope my Azn bros don't take offense to that, don't mean it that way), thanks to my grandpa.

I'm Hispanic/Latino but that isn't a race, racially I have white and Native blood, is Mestizo considered a race?

Weird tidbit, back when I was growing up in Chicago in the early 80s, mixed race couples were still frowned at, my parents often got dirty looks because folks assumed my mom was an Anglo white lady married outside her "race", they had a hard time believing she was 100% Mexican:facepalm
