Maybe Clarkson...but I am not sold on him, either.
And I like Boozer, but he is nearing the end.
The rest of the roster would struggle in a D-League game.

The rest of the roster can't shoot to save their lives.

Wilt screams like Boozer trying to draw a foul when he enters every one of his 20,000 women :applause: The parallels are eerie.

Aside from Kobe...give me ONE Laker player who has had the career that Boozer has had. Not to mention that he is better than anyone they are playing right now.

Not only that, but it is OBVIOUS that he is being told to play the worst combinations that he possibly can.
Bad enough that they have ZERO talent...but then to do all they can to make sure they play as bad as they can, as well (without actually asking them to tank.)

BTW, how in the hell is Ryan Kelly in the NBA?
On top of that...how is he being allowed to play 37 minutes in a game in which he is shooting 3-17 from the field?

Agreed. But at least Boozer HAS had a good career. The rest of these mis-fits have done nothing before this year, and will likely do nothing after it.

I think Scott might be one of the smartest. He is obviously being instructed to lose at all costs...and playing a clown like Kelly 37 horrific minutes just proves it.
BTW, I think the Lakers just signed Stevie Wonder to a 10 day contract today, too.
You can bet he will be playing 40 minutes in the Laker's last five games.

Yeah Clarkson and Davis have potential but wouldn't hesitate to trade anyoneTbh the ones I mentioned other than Randle and Clarkson are pretty serviceable imo. They all have a niche and they're ok at it, like Davis and Black with rebounding, Ellington with shooting, etc.

thinking of keeping Wes, even maybe, is absurd.:lol
Randle and JC is locked down, maybe sign Lin @ 3-4mil price is reasonable.

The Lakers will be good enough to not finish in the bottom 3 next season, but bad enough that the 76ers would get get their lottery pick from them in the top 10 range.
This is our share of the loot from the MCW trade(Lakers pick next season is top 3 protected).

Other than people under contract, no one is a lock to return. It will all depend on the draft and free agency. After those 2 things are addressed, then they will look to fill the team and thats where some of the guys can get resigned if they haven't signed anywhere else. Most of the team are bench players, some not even regular rotational players.
The free agent who will cash in most is Ed Davis. He has proven to be a solid defensive bigman who produces in very limited minutes. He is young and I would like him to return but again it depends on who is drafted, signed as FA.
To be perfectly honest, a lot of these Lakers are the luckiest in the league. They were able to get meaningful playing time, and have guaranteed themselves a contract next year. Some of these guys were on non guaranteed deals and should be very very happy how this season panned out. Wayne Ellington came into camp on a non guaranteed deal. Now he isn't going to cash in but this season has all but locked him in the NBA for the next few seasons.

Players I hope we keep:
Clarkson: Goes without saying
Randle: See Clarkson
Ellington: Good backup sg, cheap
Davis: Has potential to be an anchor defensively, horrible ft shooter and scorer though, just awful
The rest can walk the f*ck out, especially Swaggy, Boozer and Lin

Jordan Hill is the first that should go. He and Nick have overstayed their welcome imo. You hope your players get better , not comfortable which it's obvious these two have. They suffer from the same shit JR Smith did in NY.
Too crackin of a night life for them to seriously put their all into Basketball. Partying with fellow celebs every night til the am. Heavy drinking the night before games. Send them to Minne or Cleveland and I bet they ball outta their minds from boredom.

This looks about right, they may have to pony up to keep Davis but he himself has said he'd like to be back next year so maybe the price won't be too high
a lot of who stays depends on the draft, then who they can sign via free agency but i wouldn't be surprised if all the guys you listed are back
Lin's gone, Boozer won't be back Nick Young might be traded.... we'll see about Young, he has some growing up to do

Byron Scott has maintained an incredibly bizarre rotation this season. I really don't think that many of these guys were able to get into a decent rhythm or flow because they would play one game, and then DNP-CD'd the next. The minutes have also been all over the place. Regardless of how terrible they've been this year, I really don't think that many of these guys were given a fair shake to be honest.

I think Nick Young is who he is. He is 29 or 30. There is a reason he has been a journey man up till this year. He can help a decent team needing bench scoring, but he can't do major minutes without hurting the team at times.

Young is garbage, except for the 5 games a season he plays like Jordan.

Yep... I don't expect him back but you never know.. he and Scott were not on the same page..
From reading the exit interviews the players all raved about Scott and how he handled them this season so at least there's that stability heading into the offseason

Jabari Brown is nice for the bench, he was pretty good the 20 games he played for us, working over summer and training camp should help benefit this kid a lot. And he went to college with Jordan Clarkson, and it is evident that Jordan plays better when Brown is on the court, so this is good for chemistry.
Sadly it looks like the Lakers will accept the option on Hill's 9m contract, although I have read a few rumors that we may make a run for Aldridge. If they decline Hill's option, you know what's up.
Randle will be back, Black, Kelly, Kobe, Clarkson, Brown, Sacre, Davis, Buycks if his injury didn't **** em up. Please don't bring Price back, hate his game.

Boozer is a bumslayer. Puts up productive stats on paper, but never in his life when it has mattered.
Never made the contested shot when it mattered. Never made the contested rebound when it mattered. And he has never played D whether it mattered or not lol.
That said, he is kind of a likable guy. If you can excuse the way he did the Cavs dirty.
